WHEN DECIDING WHERE TO USE A LINE BREAK.....
• Try not to use "the", "a", "and", etc. at the end of a line• Put words on a line that go together that make sense• Use an important word at the end of the line• Use punctuation at the end of line
OR • Use enjambment with your lines• Create suspense with your line breaks• A line of poetry can be one word, two words, five words, or more....you get to decide.
• HOWEVER...remember to NOT make a line too long...find a natural break and go to the next line.
