ACADEMIC ALL-AMERICAN ASHWORTH OF SCRANTON HEADS 2010-2011 JESUIT MEN’S BASKETBALL ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM May 2, 2011 Scranton’s Zach Ashworth, a first-team College Division Academic All-American, leads a group of six student-athletes named to the 2010-2011 National Jesuit All-Academic Men’s Basketball Team that was announced today by the Asso- ciation of Jesuit Colleges and Universities and the Jesuit Basketball Spotlight. Ashworth (Sr., G, Doylestown, Pa.) concludes a stellar career for the Royals that included his Capital One/CoSIDA honor for his 3.89 GPA in Finance and a pair of Landmark Conference Player of the Year honors. This season, he led Scranton to the regular-season and tournament titles in the conference and a berth in the NCAA Division III Tournament. He is joined on the Jesuit All-Academic squad by Chris Johansen (Regis, Jr., G, Albuquerque, N.M.); Andrew Keister (Holy Cross, Sr., C, Galloway, NJ); Greg Logins (Canisius, Sr., F, Sodus, NY); Ryan Olander (Fairfield, Jr., F, Mansfield, Conn.); and Marc Trasolini (Santa Clara, Jr., F, Vancouver, BC). Four others Julius Coles of Canisius, Brian Conklin of Saint Louis, Kaleb Korver of Creighton, and Nick Leon of Saint Peter’s – earned honorable mention recognition. The All-Jesuit Team represents student-athletes from the 28 Jesuit colleges spread across the United States that play basketball on all three levels of the NCAA and also in the NAIA. They share the mission of Jesuit education, founded nearly 500 years ago under the principles of St. Ignatius Loyola to educate young people to become men and women dedicated to service and compassionate leadership. ACADEMIC ALL-AMERICAN ASHWORTH OF SCRANTON HEADS 2010-2011 JESUIT MEN’S BASKETBALL ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM

May 2, 2011 Scranton’s Zach Ashworth, a first-team College Division Academic All-American, leads a group of six student-athletes named to the 2010-2011 National Jesuit All-Academic Men’s Basketball Team that was announced today by the Asso-ciation of Jesuit Colleges and Universities and the Jesuit Basketball Spotlight. Reached double figures 14 times with a high of 20 points…. Posted a pair of double-doubles…. 10.8 ppg, 6.9 rpg, 2.4 apg, 54.2% FG.

Andrew Keister – Holy Cross (Sr., C, 6-9, Galloway, NJ) 3.44 in History…. Named to the Capital One/CoSIDA Academic All-District 1 first team…. Selected to the Patriot League All-Academic team…. Earned a spot on the All-Patriot League second team…. Ranked in the top 45 in the nation in rebounding…. Scored in double figures 21 times, including 10 of his last 11 games…. Posted 11 double-doubles, ending the second with eight consecutive…. Named to the National Jesuit Honor Roll once…. 12.9 ppg, 9.2 rpg, 51.6% FG.

Greg Logins – Canisius (Sr., F, 6-7, Sodus, NY) 3.48 in Sports Administration…. Named to the National I-AAA Athletic Directors Scholar-Athlete Team…. Earned a spot on the MAAC All-Academic Team…. Finished second on the team in both scoring and rebounding…. Reached double figures in scoring 15 times, including 12 of the last 15 games, and surpassed 20 points three times and 30 once…. 11.8 ppg, 6.0 rpg, 47.0% FG, 78.3% FT.

Ryan Olander – Fairfield (Jr., F, 7-0, Mansfield, CT) 3.63 in Marketing…. Named to the National I-AAA Athletic Directors Scholar-Athlete Team…. Selected to the MAAC All-Academic Team…. Earned a spot on the All-MAAC second team after helping lead Stags to regular-season title…. Led the team in re-bounding, blocked shots, and field-goal percentage and was second in scor-ing….Reached double figures in scoring 17 times with a high of 23 twice…. Posted five double-doubles, including one in a first-round NIT win at Colorado State…. Named the National Jesuit Player of the Week for December 27-January 3…. 10.4 ppg, 6.8 rpg, 2.1 bpg, 53.2% FG.

Marc Trasolini – Santa Clara (Jr., F, 6-9, Vancouver, BC) 3.51 in Business…. Named to the Capital One/CoSIDA Academic All-District 8 first team…. Selected to the WCC All-Academic first team…. Led the Broncos in rebounding and was second on scoring for the CIT Postseason Tournament champions…. Reached double figures in scoring 24 times, including seven times off the bench, and had five 20+ scoring games and another one over 30…. Posted two double-doubles…. Selected as the National Jesuit Player of the Week for February 21-27 and was part of the Jesuit Honor Roll one other time…. 12.8 ppg, 6.1 rpg, 52.3% FG.

Nick Leon – Saint Peter’s (Sr., G, 5-11, Brooklyn, NY) 3.33 in Education (Grad.) and Sociology… MAAC All-Academic Team… 10.4 ppg, 3.2 apg, 84.7% FT… Starter at point guard for all 33 games for NCAA Tournament team… Double figures in scoring 17 times… Scorer of 15 points in the MAAC Championship game… Team leader in assists and free-throw percentage.
