2010 Womens Fastball Championship

I would like to take a moment to congratulate all of the players and coaches in the OCAA for their hard work and commitment to excellence this year. It has been a great season with some outstanding performances and we anticipate an exciting finish this weekend as we conclude the

30th season of Womens Fastball in the OCAA.

Also congratulations to the staff from Durham College for all of their time and effort in organizing the 2010 Championship, as well as to Ted Beale for all of his work in the portfolio of Womens Fastball Senior Convenor.

Congratulations to all the teams and players that qualified for the 2010 OCAA Championships hosted by Durham College.

It has been a very good year for OCAA Fastball with outstanding performances from various student-athletes. A season dominated by the hitters who made life miserable for OCAA pitchers. A special thanks to the coaches who manage their large rosters and prepare their athletes for competition

in a very condensed fall season. I am most proud of the student-athletes who balance very demanding academic programs, family, social and varsity intercollegiate fastball. Playing through adverse weather conditions is part of the deal in the OCAA and each team has proved they have thick skin.

Good luck to all the participants. Play hard and slide safe.

I would like to welcome athletes, coaches, fans and guests to the 2010 OCAA Womens Fastball Championship! On behalf of the tournament host committee, we are very proud to welcome everyone to Durham College.

This year marks the 30th anniversary of the OCAA Womens Fastball Championship. Over the last three decades, thousands of student-athletes have strived for excellence looking to win the provincial title. The OCAA championship has a long-lasting tradition of

being one of the top-fastball tournaments in the country. This years championship is no exception with four great teams representing their college this weekend. Congratulations to Durham, Mohawk, St. Clair and Seneca on qualifying for the championship.

Similar to when we had the honour of hosting this event in the past, this years championship promises to showcase the finest talent of collegiate fastball, while also offering fans, coaches, players and other guests a chance to enjoy this great region we are so proud to call home.
