5. These are the retaining clips securing the chromebars to the factory grille support panel.

6. Use long nose pliers to squeezee the center por-tion of the tab in then push the tab out of themounting slot in the grille support panel.

7. Use a 5/16 drill bit to drill through the rivetsretaining the factory front license plate bracket tothe bumper cover (if equipped) and remove the

bracket for modificatons. Drill through the rivetheads only, do not enlarge the holes in thebumper cover.

4. Once the upper fasteners have been removed, pullthe grille support forward to expose the 10mmspeed nuts retaining the center and lower chromebars. Remove these four (4) 10mm hex speed nutsand the two (2) 10mm hex speed nuts retaining thefactory Ford emblem to the center bar and removethe emblem.

2. Remove the two (2) plastic push fasteners secur-ing the top of the plastic grille support panel.3. Remove the four (4) 10mm hex bolts from thetop of the factory grille support panel.

1. Remove the two (2) plastic push fasteners using asmall flat blade screw driver (each side). The topsection of chrome moulding should pull free fromthe grille support panel. If not, proceed to Steps 2through 4.

11. Measure and mark the center of the factory grilleopening. Measure over from the center 9 to eitherside and mark the bumper cover as shown.

12. Use a 5/16 drill bit to drill through the bottom ofthe grille support panel flush against the paintedportion of the bumper cover. Slot the holes slightly

left to right for mounting stud access.

13. Cut out and align the supplied template to theunderside of the upper factory chrome grille bar.Use an awl or similar pointed tool to mark the cen-

ter of the hole locations onto the chrome grille bar,then remove the template, flip it over and tape it inplace on the opposite side and mark the hole loca-tions.

10. Apply masking tape around the factory grille open-ing and paint the areas sanded and the paintedlower corners of the bumper cover with flat orsemi-gloss black paint.

8. Carefully remove the raised portions on the lowersection of the factory grille support panel. Using arazor blade in a gasket scraper works best, as it willnot overheat and melt the plastic as a small discgrinder would do.

9. Sand the faces of the grille support panel wherethe raised areas were trimmed off in the previousstep. Feather edge until smooth.

17. Trim the closed ends from the supplied black vinylcaps and install them over the two (2) studs locat-ed at the sides of the upper mesh grille assembly.

18. Apply protective tape to the top and sides of theraised Ford oval mounting boss on the grillemounting panel to protect the panel when align-ing and installing the mesh grille.

19. Align the assembled mesh grille onto the factorygrille mounting panel, making sure all the lowermounting brackets and studs pass through theopenings or holes drilled in the factory grille

mounting panel. Press firmly enough to clip thefactory upper grille bar into the mounting panel.

16. Align the supplied mesh support tabs, one under-neath each retaining clip that secure the centerupper chrome grille bar to the factory grille sup-port panel. Mark the larger of the two hole loca-tions onto the grille bar and use a 7/64 drill bit todrill the mounting hole. Install the brackets usingthe supplied #8 x 3/8 black truss head screws.

15. Align the assembled Mesh Grille onto the factoryupper chrome grille bar and use the supplied #8 x3/8 Black Truss Head Screws to secure it. DO NOTOVERTIGHTEN the screws or you will strip out theholes in the plastic.

14. Using a 7/64 drill bit, drill through the holesmarked in the previous step. Drill only through thebottom layer of plastic, do not drill through theface of the chrome grille bar!

33. For vehicles equipped with a front license platebracket: Trim the lower tab from the bottom of thebracket where shown (A). Remove approximately

3/8 from the top edge (B), tapering it to the sides.Tape the bottom edge in towards the middle (C).

34. Once modified, the front license plate bracketshould look like this.

35. Align the modified front license plate bracket ontothe vehicle and mark the sides of the bracketwhere is hits the mesh surround. Notch the plastic

bracket to clear the surround (where shown).

32. Install the supplied large black plastic washers and#8-32 ESNA half nuts onto the remaining studsand tighten.

30. Install the lower mesh into the lower factory grilleopening, making sure the mesh is tight against thefactory lower grille insert.

31. Install the supplied large black plastic washers and#8-32 ESNA half nuts onto the outer studs andtighten.

36. Install the modified front license plate bracket usingthe supplied 1/4 - 20 x 1 hex bolts, 3/4 O.D. x1/4 I.D. black plastic washers and 1/4 - 20 ESNAlock nuts.

37. Reinstall the lower panel to finish the installation.
