type w is a multi-strand cable with a excellent conductivity. a 500 Mcm type w cable has 427 strands of copper wire versus 12 for type thhn. Before you order cable, examine the “generator ampere chart” to determine the required maximum voltage for your application. next use the cable selection guide to determine the number of cables required. for generator rentals, please note: where dual cables are indicated you must order two cables per leg and one system ground. Example: 600kW will require seven cables, one of which is a ground.

These units are designed to be used as an extension cable from a 20 Amp 208 VAC 3Ø power source with a NEMA L21-20R receptacle. Each cable is equipped with a built in strap for coiling and storage.

Four conductor cables, equipped with California plugs,. Used for supply-ing 50-Amp 250V single phase power to spider boxes.

Job site BTU Calculatorthe following formula is used to determine the Btus needed to heat a building. this calculation would be for an average uninsulated building. add more Btu’s if the building will have a great deal of heat loss from open windows and doors. reduce the Btu’s if the building is well insulated and weather tight.

Cubic feet to be heated* X .133 X desired temperature rise** = BTU’s/hour* Cubic feet to be heated... Multiply the length times the width times the height of the area to be heated.

**Desired temperature rise... Subtract the lowest expected outside temperature from the desired inside temperature.

Example: a concrete block building 50 feet wide by 200 feet long with 20 feet from floor to ceiling. all window and door openings are temporarily covered with plastic. the outside temperature is 15° and we want the inside temperature to be 55°.

Cubic feet = 50 x 200 x 20 = 200,000 cubic feetTemperature rise = 55°–15° = 40°BTU’s needed: 200,000 x .133 x 40 = 1,064,000 Btu’s per hourHeaters Recommended: four 250,000 Btu convection heaters or three 375,000 Btu forced air heaters to heat this job.

BTU SIZING__________________________________________________________________ x (.133 )x _________________ = ______________________Cubic ft. Temperature rise BTU’s needed

Conventional house or Zero House Swing? A zero tail swing (ZTS) or Zero House Swing (ZHS) excavator gives you more unrestricted rotation and provides greater flexibility if you are constantly working close to objects, or against a wall. Generally speaking, zero tail swing excavators are a little wider than a conventional swing excavator. If your biggest obstacle is gaining access, like squeezing your way into a gate, or maneuvering into a crowded backyard, a conventional compact excavator can take you there.

radius vs. vertical loader lift Path

different jobs demand different requirements in a loader. the diversified line up of Bobcat loaders is ready to meet those dif-ferent challenges. the radius lift path style provides greater forward reach than a vertical lift path for more than 80 percent of the lift-arm path, including a greater maximum reach at mid-range heights, like dumping over a wall, backfilling or unloading flat-bed trucks the vertical lift path is designed to provide more reach

at full lift height than the original radius lift path, and to do so without any decrease in performance. a vertical lift path keeps the load closer to the machine: a loader with this lift pattern can safely lift more than an identical loader with a ra-dius lift path. the vertical-lift path loader provides plenty of power, lift and reach, making it easier to clear high-sided truck boxes and hoppers. it’s also ideal for placing pallets especially those loaded with heavy materials such as brick, block or sod.

Sand - 100psi for jobs < 500ft2 (anything >500ft2 cannot be used)

Slag – 125psi

Metal Shot – 150psi also used in the cleaning and preparation of concrete. application must tolerate potential ferrous residue. round abrasive media that is extremely durable and dense available with specific hardness, roundness, and size specifications as required for certain peening applications.

Glass Bead - glass Bead blasting can be used on a wide range of materials including metal, glass, plastic and rubber. the smaller the glass spheres, the smoother the surface; larger spheres produce a more textured finish.

Soda - sodium bicarbonate based media (baking soda) is manufactured to be in a consistent, larger crystal size. when it strikes the material you are soda blasting the crystal explodes outward and the explosion is the force that strips your target of grease, paint, mold, dirt, whatever it is you are removing.

Dry Ice – 200 psi max also known as cryo blasting and co2 blasting, dry ice blasting is similar to sand blasting, plastic bead blasting, or soda blasting where a medium is accelerated in a pressurized air stream to impact a surface to be cleaned or prepared. instead of using hard abrasive media to grind on a surface (and damage it), dry ice blasting uses soft dry ice, accelerated at supersonic speeds, and creates mini-explosions on the surface to lift the undesirable item off the underlying substrate.

Walnut Shells - walnut shell grit is the hard fibrous product made from ground or crushed walnut shells. when used as a blasting media, walnut shell grit is extremely durable, angular and multi-faceted, yet is considered a ‘soft abrasive’ and it can clean brittle surfaces without leaving scratches. it is suitable for cleaning metal, stainlessness, glass, ceramics, semi-conductor integrated circuit package lead frames, etc. walnut shell blasting grit is an excellent replacement for sand (free silica) to avoid inhalation health concerns.

Corn Cobs - corn cob blasting is recommended by the log home industry to open the pores of the wood, allowing oil based finishes to penetrate more effectively.

Hauling your equipment: towing Capacity & trailer weight ClassBefore you select a towing vehicle you need to determine the weight of the trailer being towed as well as the weight the vehicle will carry while towing. Provide a good margin of safety.

REmEmbER: A hitch system is only as strong as its lowest-rated component. Compare the maximum tow weight ratings of your hitch, ball mount and hitch ball. Your hitch system rating is the lowest weight rating among those components.

1. Measure from the ground to the top of the hitch.2. Measure from the ground to the (inside) top of the trailer coupler, then level.3. Subtract the height of the hitch ball (Most are 2 1/2” - 3” high) from coupler measurement.

• 2,000-pound maximum• Folding camping trailers & trailers for small boats, motorcycles, and snowmobiles• Load-carrying (non-equalizing) hitch

• 5,000-pound maximum• Dual-axle or large single-axle trailers• Weight-distributing hitch not required, unless specified for a particular vehicle

• 3,500-pound maximum• Single-axle, small to medium length (up to 18 feet) trailers

* Graphics are for example purposes only. Consult your vehicle and towing apparatus specifications before hauling your equipment.

• 10,000-pound maximum• Largest travel trailers made for recreation• Weight-distributing hitch is required; as indicated by each weight classification.

• Must have fifth-wheel or gooseneck coupling on towing vehicle.• Light Weight (8,000 lbs.), Mid-Size (10,000 lbs.) and full-size (15,000 lbs.) weight classes; also maximum lengths.
