CONVENTION COUNTDOWN
weeks to go!
From your Director
What a busy night we had on Wednesday. Well done everyone, you have begun to take ownership of
the songs. Keep up the good work and we will reap the benefits at contest.
Homework:
Contest songs – Notes, words, dynamics, vowels, diphthongs, showmanship, planned moves.
Get in front of the mirror and practice your showmanship – remember to make it believable.
Show songs – California dreamin, Breaking up, Come fly, Straighten Up. And of course the contest
package is part of the show as well.
See you all Wednesday

From the AMD
Up, Up and Away has been withdrawn from our repertoire so please return music and the amended CD
to me ASAP.
Thanks

From your Team Coordinator
WOW team, fab effort on wed night; wasn't it great to see that DVD of what to do on the risers and how
not to walk on? Wasn't it fun to practice it 'for real' from back stage; thanks to Marl and Gill for making
that a fun evening-certainly the visual exercises brought home to me the need for continuous focus.
Suddenly its seeming real. Lets remember: eyes on Gil l- all the time, shoes on feet, bling on wrist and
