About Motor4toys Charitable Foundation

Motor4toys Charitable Foundation was started with one goal in mind: To help the children. All of our efforts are 100% donated. There are no salaries and every last cent is utilized to help needy children. Dustin Troyan, founder of Motor4toys and many other automotive events has used his relationships in the car world to quickly make Motor4toys the largest car show of its type in the world. Motor4toys has collected over $2 million in toys since the inception.

Motor4toys is very proud to partner with law enforcement with all of our events. We appreciate the role that law enforcement plays in our community and believe that if we can help to facilitate positive relationships with law enforcement and children, we can help change the future. The beneficiaries of our events always include law enforcement. They then help Motor4toys by distributing toys to needy children throughout our community. We have worked closely with: Los Angeles Police Department, Los Angeles Sheriffs Department, California Highway Patrol, Los Angeles Fire Department, Federal Bureau of Investigation Los Angeles Division, LAPD SWAT, FBI SWAT, LASD SWAT and other agencies as well.

Motor4toys is one of the most exciting events because we do not stop with just the show. We partner with other businesses and schools to place toy collection boxes all over California. Long after our event is over, we are still out there collecting and distributing toys. We leverage all of our relationships to help create a win-win situation for all of our sponsors and supporters. By doing this, our sponsors get maximum exposure and we are able to collect thousands of toys. This event is successful for everyone involved.

For the 6th year in a row, Dustin Troyan organized and hosted the Motor4Toys charity toy drive and car show in Southern California this past weekend. Every year this show continues to grow, gathering together several thousand car people and their exotic and collectible sports cars, race cars, muscle cars, tuner cars, and the like. All of them come to support the cause of making sure every child has a gift to unwrap during the holidays.

This show is unique in that it draws its participants entirely from the car community and since its inaugural year Motors4Toys has been the single largest donor of toys to any charitable toy donation program. Tens of thousands of toys have been collected by Motor4Toys and distributed to groups such as Toys for Tots and law enforcement charities, and while we're always happy to be a part of such a worthy cause, we have to admit that half the fun is the huge gathering of sweet rides.

Imagine seeing hundreds of cars lined up by make or model. It's like taking a peek inside the fence of your favorite manufacturer and seeing all of your dream cars lined up, ready to ship out for delivery. Whole rows of Lamborghini, Ferrari, Porsche, Corvette, Cobra, Mustang, Lotus, WRX, Evo, GTR, MINI, VW, Tesla, Camaro and Mazda greet the enthusiasts that come each year. And as if it needed any more cred, Jay Leno attends every year. This year Leno happened to drive over in his Chrysler Turbine car, which wowed the crowd.

5th Annual Motor4Toys Charitable Exotic Car ShowIts that time of year again, bring a toy and check out the cars! From the December, 2008 issue of Motor Trend By Melissa Spiering

For the past month or so I've been rallying the troops for this year's fifth annual Motor4Toys Charitable Exotic Car Show. This is the one time of the year when my friends and I set out on a selfless goal to have our friends, families, and co-workers donate an unwrapped toy to help me stuff my Mini Cooper boot with as many toys as we can. I started this little side project at the third Motor4Toys event back in 2006 filling my Mini on my own. The next year, I had the help of two friends who filled their own Minis, and once again we made this year's donation even bigger than before.

The event took place in a new and larger location that housed some 1000-plus exotic, modified, classic, and racing cars from all over Southern California. Blue and red lights flashed as they escorted the droves of classic Cobra drivers and countless car club caravans that spilled in to the Anthem Building parking lot in Woodland Hills, California, on December 7, 2008. Everything from Lamborghini to Volkswagen, new and old, came for the joy of giving and the of seeing so many great cars in one of the biggest and most unique toy drives on the West Coast.

The rush was on this year to meet the goal of collecting over 30,000 toys to benefit the "Toys for Tots Program" for the greater Los Angels area. Several folks wanted to donate more than what they came with, so the LADP was on hand with their drag race patrol cars, giving rides to the local toy stores to buy even more toys throughout the day. There was a live auction and vendors who donated their proceeds to the event as spectators and families ogled over the rows of sheetmetal in the lot.

If you'd like to donate to this event or more information about this year's and next year's events, visit www.motor4toys.com. And I'll see you there next with another toy-filled Mini.

Toy Driving: Motor4Toys Combines Car Show With Charity Toy Drive by Melissa Sperling, Motortrend.com

The dark clouds that hung over SoCal this past Sunday morning faded away to shed some much-needed sunlight over this year’s biggest and most successful car meet/toy drive of the year – an event known as Motor4Toys.

The 6th annual Motor4Toys charitable car show took place in the city of Woodland Hills, California. An overwhelming number of auto enthusiasts overflowed the parking lot at the Anthem Building in Warner Center in what was the largest turnout of sports cars, tuners, and classics from all over Southern California. More than 5000 vehicles pre-registered for the meet, but as soon as the caravans began to arrive, it was obvious more space was needed.

While the event was free of charge, a mandatory donation was collected from each participant in the form of an unwrapped toy valued at least $10. Amazingly, this year several motorsports clubs, forums, and groups pulled together to deliver toys by the truck loads (myself included). Trunks and truck beds alike were stuffed with R/C cars, teddy bears, baby dolls, bikes, and just about every kind of toy. Police escorts gave drivers the ability to buy more toys from the local Toys-R-us. All toys collected will be donated to a long list of organizations that includes the LAPD, local sheriffs, women's shelters, orphanages, homeless children, Assistance League of Southern California, Pacific Boys Lodge, Boys Town, etc. The list goes on and on.

A few celebrities stopped by to donate as well. Brad Garrett brought his family in their classic Chevy Camaro with a back seat stuffed with donations. Jay Leno stopped by to show off his all-original Chrysler Turbine car. John

Schneider from “The Dukes of Hazzard” and Paul Le Mat from “American Graffiti” where also checking out the car meet and taking photos with the fans.

The mounds of toys grew throughout the morning as attendees mingled and admired each other's automobiles. In four hours more than 17,000 toys where collected by volunteers. And it doesn't stop there; the organizers are still taking donations up until the day before Christmas. Not only toys where donated, but almost $10,000 was raised with the help of a live auction that featured full-body paint jobs and auto care maintenances packages.
