“The credit belongs...” --D.A. Chapple
“The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena... this, the person who un-
derstands that the sacrifice made in order to step onto the mat was one of his ultimate
experiences of self-worth... there are the young men who understand the urgency, the
drive, and the hunger of the

The Game of Life...
Wrestling prepares a person to fight the game of life. The wrestler is the one athlete that must meet his opponent andDo battle completely on his own;No one can substitute: no time outs are possible. He has no one to check, screen, block, or assist him in any way. There is no one to blame for his mistakes. When he wins, he must show quiet pride and modesty. When he loses, the responsibility is his.Wrestling is a true sport. In other sports, when contact is made, they blow the whistle toStop the action; In wrestling, when contact is made, we’re just getting started. No other sport requires more sacrifice then wrestling. The individual, through self-denial, offers more of his characterThan ever be explained here.It is something he carries with him throughout life…..Through every trail, test, and tribulation.

‘if’ If you can keep your head when all about youAre losing theirs and blaming it on you,If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,But make allowance for their doubting too;If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,Or being lied about, don’t deal in lies,Or being hated, don’t give way to hating,And yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise:If you can dream - and not make dreams your
master,If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;If you can meet with Triumph and DisasterAnd treat those two impostors just the same;If you can bear to hear the truth you’ve spokenTwisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,And stoop and build ‘em up with worn-out tools:If you can make one heap of all your winningsAnd risk it all on one turn of pitch-and-toss,And lose, and start again at your beginningsAnd never breathe a word about your loss;If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,And so hold on when there is nothing in youExcept the Will which says to them: “Hold on!”If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,Or walk with kings - nor lose the common touch,If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,If all men count with you, but none too much;If you can fill the unforgiving minuteWith sixty seconds’ worth of distance run,Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,And - which is more - you’ll be a Man, my son!
- R. Kipling
Conor,We are so proud of the young man you have become. You’ve approached everything in your life with hard work, dedication, patience, and a willingness to help others. Now, yours is the world.

What are little boys made of?Slugs and snailsAnd puppy-dogs’ tails,That’s what little boys are made of.
As a little boy, you explored, fished, played with your dog and did all the things little boys do. We have been blessed everyday watching the won-der that you found in the world around you.
You are now a senior. Wrestling through the past years has required blood, sweat and tears but you have endured to complete what you started. You have grown from a little boy into a wonderful young man. You are a thoughtful, considerate young man while also being strong and deter-mined. We are proud of you.
Carpe Diem. Make memories and have a great senior year.
Love Mom & Dad

Thinking back through all the yearsHow swiftly they’ve passed byI close my eyes and bite my lipTry so hard not to cryYou were always such a scrapperA raging thunderstormThe day you shed your diaperYou donned a uniform.

Oh how the years go by,Oh how time can certainly flyFrom just a boy in diapers to
changeNow a young man with goals in
range The presence of you
with laughter and smilesContinues to go on for miles and
miles. You’ve grown up as a panther,
with lighting speedWe’ve cherished each moment,
now it’s time to lead. Our little boy is now becoming a
young manWe promise right by your side,
forever we’ll stand. From sibling rivalry to family loveWe’ve managed to do it with
prayers from above. You were named Seth, biblically,
the “appointed” for all of mankind.
Who ever knew it would be Bloomington South’s version of “It’s All A State of Mind”
We will pick up the pieces if ever you fall,
We will hold your hand and help you stand tall.
And now the day is coming when you’ll be all on your own,
We hope you never feel that your ever alone.
No matter how near or very far apart
We will be right here, right here in your heart.
Always remember whatever you go through
That no matter what, we will always love you.

As the mother of a teenage daughter you never know what’s going to happen next. They can be your best friend one day, then a nightmare the next. No matter what we always love them. Laci and I have been through so much these past years, but through it all she has stood tall and held her head high. She is so much stronger then I could ever be. She is a beautiful young lady. I couldn’t ask for a better daughter. I’m so proud of all her accomplishments. I absolutely love you!

It’s All A State of Mind...
If you think you’re beaten, you are.If you think you dare not, you don’t.If you’d like to win, but think you can’t,It’s almost a ‘chinch’ you won’tIf you think you’ll lose, you’re lost,For out in the world you find:Success begins with a fellow’s will,It’s all a state of mind. For many a race is lost; ere even a step is run:And many a coward fails, ere even his work’s
begun.Think big and your deeds will grow.
Think small and you’ll fall behind:Think that you can and you will,It’s all a state of mind.If you think you’re outclassed, you areYou’ve got to think high and rise:You’ve got to be sure of yourselfBefore you ever can win a prize.Life’s battles don’t always go to The stronger or faster man:But sooner or later the man who winsIs the one who thinks he can.

Attitude
“The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of ATTITUDE on life.ATTITUDE, to me, is more important than the facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think, say or do.It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company... a church... a home. The remarkable thing is that we have a choice every day regarding the ATTITUDE we will embrace for the day.We cannot change our past... we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way.We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our ATTITUDE.I am convinced that life is 10% what happened to me and 90% how I reach to it.And so it is with you... we are in charge of our ATTITUDE.”
