2012 EOU CROSS COUNTRY NOTEBOOK COMING UP: INLAND EMPIRE CLASSIC EOU STANDINGS IN THE POLLS After being ranked in the top 25 in the NAIA Cross Country Coaches Pool last week, the EOU women fell to No. 26 this week. Last weeks ranking marked the first time this season that both the women and men were ranked nationally. The Eastern men remained in the No. 14 spot again this week. The men have been ranked in the top 15 every week this fall. EASTERN OREGON NOTEWORTHY The Mountaineers are competing on the road Homecoming weekend for the first time since 2003. This is the first time that Eastern will compete in the Inland Empire Classic. This is the first time the women have competed without the men in a meet since 2003. Calgary, Eastern Oregon, Eastern Washington, Gonzaga, Idaho, Lewis-Clark State, Montana, Spokane Falls CC, Washington State, and Whitworth will be competing in the meet. The EOU women are ranked No. 26 and the men are ranked No. 14 in the latest NAIA Cross Country Coaches Poll. Fellow CCC members, Southern Oregon, tops the men’s poll, while Concordia is No. 8, Col- lege of Idaho is No. 12, and Oregon Tech is No. 25. On the women’s side, College of Idaho is tied for No. 3, Northwest Christian is No 7, and Southern Oregon is No. 21.
