When the re-assignment an-nouncement of McAllen head
football coach Tony Harris was made by McAllen ISD, the school district simply stated, “we are go-
ing new direction.” As for Harris, he was shocked when he was fired too. He was
quoted in a local newspaper stat-ing “he did not know why he was
reassigned?” After 17-years as the head foot-ball coach and athletic coordi-nator at McAllen High School,
this “Patero-dress-like” coach is wondering why he was fired?In today’s society, nobody is
protected from keeping their jobs, no matter who we are or what
we do.
Expectations? This past season, even Dave Campbell’s 2012 Texas Football magazine had
the Bulldogs picked to make the playoffs but the Dogs ended the season on a three-game losing
streak and missed out. One parent said it was
“about time” he was fired while other Harris supporters asked
why he was fired? As for these Harris supporters, they all gathered and rallied to “SAVE HARRIS,” with hopes of
trying to get his job back. It would be nice if everyone who has been laid off or fired would have these
same supporters do the same for them too. It was like saying
“SAVE FERRIS BUELLER”. After 17-years and an estimated $1.3 million dollars in salary later, a coach like Harris publicly calls it
“politics at its finest”? Politics after 17-years? Hmmm. Just recently, school board elec-tions were held and some candi-
dates won and some lost. Was this politics?
In sports, Auburn fired its head coach despite winning the NCAA Football title in 2010. His record
was 33-19 in four seasons, not 17 years. The Tigers were 8-5, 14-0,
8-5, and 3-9 in 2012. Why? Politics.
At Brownsville ISD, Rivera, Hanna, Veterans, and Pace H.S. all replaced their head football
coaches this past season? Politics?
At Edcouch-Elsa High School, the head football coach was sus-
pended for violating the 8-hour practice rule on information sub-
mitted by a former coach. Politics?
Regardless, Harris will eventually get another coaching job some-where in Texas and with the help of politics at its finest, we will all see him on the sidelines again.

(Weslaco, Tx)-Throughout the en-tire season, head coach Tony Vil-larreal managed to keep his team together despite the injuries his
team sustained through the foot-ball year. “We survived the year and managed to get back on track after those two straight losses we
had mid-way in district play,” says Villarreal. The end result? A second place finish in District 31-5A with a 5-3 record and one
bi-district title. “Not bad when we were outsized offensively,” laughs Villarreal. In the Class 5A Division I Area

Championships, the Panthers found themselves outsized and playing against a team that fea-tured more speed on offense and defense. “Alexander is a tough ball club. Xavier Skaggs is a great running back,” said Villarreal in their 57-21 loss against the Bull-dogs. “Boy, did he a lot of speed.” The Bulldogs jumped out to a 14-7 first quarter lead after Wesla-co quarterback Clay Jones fum-bled his snap from center, which led to the Bulldogs second score. Jones would answer right back with a touchdown to bring the Panthers to within seven points. In the second quarter, Alexan-der scored 29-unanswered points leaving the Panthers wondering what to do at halftime trailing 43-14. Against the Los Fresnos Falcons, the Panthers dominated
the game with running back Jose Diaz rushing for 198 yards and scoring three touchdowns. But this bi-districttitle did not come easy. With the Panthers up 28-24 with 2:55 to play, Los Fresnos took possession at its 19-yard line. Quarterback Jonmichael Rosales connected with a 43-yard pass to WR Akeem Simien and he would race to the Weslaco 12 yard line, sending Falcons fans into a craze-frenzy. Until these fans spotted the yellow flag laying midfield. A 15-yard personal foul penalty was issued and Los Fresnos was pushed back to first-and-25 from its own 30-yard line with one minute left. The Panthers went on to win that game. “It was a good call,” said Villarreal, who won his

fifth Bi-District title at Weslaco High School. “Overall, we a great season and I am real proud of this team. We overcame many obstacles and I’m just looking forward to next season,” said Vil-larreal. The Panthers ended their season with 256 points scored on
offense and allowed another 256 points on defense. Most impres-sively, the Panthers held five op-ponents to less than seven points per game, with one shutout. The Panthers posted wins over McAllen Memorial, McAllen, McAllen Nikki Rowe, PSJA, and PSJA Memorial in District 31-5A play. This is the Panthers third straight Bi-Distruct win.

(Weslaco,Tx)-It was a storied sea-son for both football programs in Class 5A. Both teams made histo-ry and both teams met for the first time in playoffs. The Brownsville Veteran Memorial Chargers (9-3) finished its season in District 32-5A in fourth place and quali-fied for the state playoffs intheir
first year of competition, while the Weslaco East Wildcats (7-4) moved up from Class 4A to 5A to win their second straight district title. Their second title was won in District 31-5A. In the State 5A Division II Bi-District playoffs, the Widlcats won the coin-toss and hosted the

BACK-TO-BACK TITLES! The Weslaco East Wildcats won district titles in two classifications in back-to-back seasons. In 2011, the Wildcats won it in 32-4A and again, in 31-5A. The Wild-cats also made it to the Class 5A Division II Bi-District Champi-onships, before losing to Brownsville Veterans Memorial. Chargers at Bobby Lackey Stadium. In the end, the Chargers upset the Wildcats with a 21-18 loss. The loss ended the East’s hopes of advanc-ing to another regional playoff finals. A feat that they had accomplished in two straight seasons. The Chargers traveled to San Antonio, Texas and played the Del Rio Rams in the area championships at the Alamo-dome. The Rams proved to be too much as they won 35-23. “I am truly proud of this team,” said Veterans head coach, David Cantu.

(Weslaco, Tx)-We it rains, it pours. As such, when the Sharyland Rat-tlers (12-0) knocked off the 32-5A Co-Champions, Harlingen Cardi-nals (8-4) 42-2 at Bobby Lackey Stadium in Weslaco, Texas in the Class 5A Division I Area finals. The win puts the Rattlers back in the third round of the playoffs after losing in 2008 to San Antonio Clark at the Alamodome. Both teams will meet this Friday night at Buccaneer Stadium in Corpus Christi, Texas at 7:30 p.m. The winner will meet either Laredo Alexander or San Antonio O’Connor in the State 5A Di-vision I Quarterfinals next week. On Friday night, the head referee interrupted play to meet with both teams at mid-field to calm down the
adrenalin on both sides. The Rattlers scored on their first three straight possessions in the first half and the Rattler defense held Harlingen to one first down. The night ended with the Cardinals and head coach Manny Gomez wondering what had happened. The Cards were held to a total of 168 yards and five turnovers. “Our defense played lights out,” Sharyland coach Ron Adame said. “We converted those stops into points.”Sharyland running back Cesar Valdez, led all rushers with 187 yards on 18 carries. Now the Rattlers will face San Antonio Madison, the same team that

The Mavs, coached by longtime head football coach Jim Streety, will need to stop Cesar Val-dez and Estefan Castillo on offense. The triplet-combination will be tough to contend with once kickoff comes around. By comparison, the Mavericks lost to last year’s State 5A Division II finalist, Cibolo Steele in the first game of the season, while the Rattlers knocked off Laredo Alexander 59-21 on September 14th. Both teams are still in the playoffs. In the playoffs, Sharyland has defeated Laredo United (72-30) and Harlingen (42-2) while Madison defeated San Antonio Wagner (37-21) and SanAntonio East Central (24-0).

30-5A District Champion, Sharyland in a 48-7 loss on November 2nd. Last Friday night at Boggus Stadium, the Cougars limited the Hawks offense to only 87 total rushing yards and held on to a 14-0 halftime lead to earn a spot in the regional finals. The Cougars scored first with sophomore running back, Matt Whitesides talking in it from 17-yards out to make it 7-0. With 8:23 left in th esecond half, quaterback Josh Vela completed a 18-yard touchdown pass to WR Eddie Sanchez to take a 14-0 lead at the half. For the season, the Cougars defense have allowed only seven teams to score seven or less points scored in losses against the Norte Dame-like color team. What a turn around this Cougar program has taken after going 4-16 for the past two seasons. The Cougars went 1-9 in 2010 and 3-7 in 2011 after advancing to the State 5A Regional finals in 2009. Garza knows that his team will have their hands full on defense when they go up against the two-time state finalist, Steele Knights. In 2010 they won the State 5A Division II title and then lost it in 2011 against Spring Dekaney. The Steele defense has allowed 142 total points with four shutouts. Last week against San Antonio Roosevelt, the Steele Knights blanked the Rough Riders 45-0 in the area playoffs. On paper, RB Justin Stockton leads the team with 1,350 yards rushing and averages 11.0 yards per carry. Knights quarterback Breylann Mc-Collum has passed for 1,110 yards and nine scores. As for the Cougars, they have recorded 28 quarterback sacks with DL Fidel Orozco netting 8 sacks alone. The winner will face San Antonio Brandeis or Del Rio in the state quarterfinals next week.

Cardinals Beat Mustangs(8-3) managed to get past 31-5A runner-up, Memorial (6-5). “I’m just happy for the kids right now,” Harlingen head coach Manny Gomez said. “When you win a playoff game, whether it’s the first, second or third round, it’s a blessing. It’s definitely ex-citing.” The Cardinals broke a 13-13 tie right before the half when Harlingen quarterback Brandon Garza hit Hunter on a 68-yard score with 1:18 left in the open-
ing half. But the Cards were not through as they forced the Mus-tangs to punt with plenty of time needed to score one more time.Harlingen got the ball back with plenty of time. With 27 seconds left on the clock, Garza hit Hunt-er from 41 yards for the 27-13 halftime lead. Harlingen finished with 426 yards on offense and Garza passed for 261 yards, complet-ing 14-of-21 pass attempts with three touchdowns. Garza also
rushed for one score. Memorial freshman running back Trevor Speights accounted for more than half of Memorial’s offense. Spei-ghts rushed for 255 yards on 25 carries including a 71-yard scor-ing run. Memorial finished with 442 yards of total offense.
Rowe 21 Har South 41 At McAllen Memorial Veter-ans Stadium, Harlingen South knocked off McAllen Nikki Rowe 41-21 in the Class 5A Division II Bi-District Championships.The Hawks (9-2) forced three turnovers and recovered a huge onside kick as they recorded their first playoff victory since 2007. Sophomore running back Jaedon Taylor rushed for 211 yards and a touchdown on 26 carries. “We managed the clock well tonight and made sure that we kept the ball out of their quarterbacks hands,” said Hawks head coach Lanny Wilson. South picked off Rowe’s QB Javi Obregon in each of the first two possessions. Sean Montemayor gave the Hawks a 10-0 lead with 0:07 remaining in the first quarter with a 14-yard keeper.“You never want to have turnovers against a good team,” Rowe coach Paul Reyes said. The Hawks decided to go for an onside kick after scor-ing and surprised the Warriors by recovered and that led to a 13-yard TD run by Taylor with 6:04 remaining in the third quarter and Harlingen South the lead 38-14.

In the playoffs, turn-overs hurt and the Jags paid for it too. The Jags scored on two drives to take an early 14-0 lead and pretty much played defense thoroughout most of the night. yards and four touchdowns and caught four passes for 120 yards and a touchdown. Bulldog quarterback Aaron Swain completed 17-of-29 passes for 265 yards with a touchdown and an interception and Alex Bryand caught 11 passes for 135 yards and intercepted two passes. It was a Bulldog show as the Redskins tried to shine and show some light of their own too, thoroughout the game. Donna quarterback Dion Padilla completed 17 of 25 for 194 yards with two interceptions and scored all of Donna’s touchdowns with nine carries for 31 yards and three scores. Redskin RB Aldo Silva ran for 118 yards but it was the big-play making the Bulldogs showcased throughout the night. Right before the half, Padilla scored on a 9-yard run with :28 seconds remain-ing to make it 21-17.
Claudio Arizpe returned a pick for a touchdown to make it 14-7. And it almost happened again, on 4th-and-8 from the Del Rio 30, the Jaguars went for it and Tyler Bradshaw picked Hugo Reyes-Paz and returned it all the way down to the 20 leading to another Ram’s score. It was the Jags first playoff apperance since 2004.

(San Antonio, Tx)- It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas as the Edcouch-Elsa Yellowjackets (10-2)* came from behind to defeat Port Lavaca-Calhoun 36-34 last Friday night in the Class 4A Division II Area Championships played at Heroes Stadium in San Antonio, Texas.The loss ended the Sandcrabs’ season at 10-1, and also broke a three-game winning streak against the Yellowjackets. Prior to Friday, Cal-houn’s last loss to Edcouch-Elsa came in the 2006 playoffs. Calhoun topped Edcouch-Elsa in 2008, 2010 and 2011. But for interim head football coach Joe Garcia, he was elated. “This is one heck of a win. We finally broke the string of losses to the Sandcrabs,” said Garcia. But Port Lavaca-Calhoun head coach Richard Whitaker had different thoughts. “Offensively, in the first half, we blew more assignments in this game in the first half than we did the entire season. I can’t explain that,” said the Sandcrab head football coach. The Yellowjackets got on the scoreboard first with a 52-yard touch-down pass from quarterback Eric Morales to Miguel Mariscal with 8:38 left in the first quarter to make it 7-0 after the extra point kick by Victor Lumbreras. Calhoun responded with their first score with 2:40 left in the first period on a 8-yard run by Devian Cantu to tie the game at 7-7. A Sandcrab mistake cost them dearly when they were flagged for a crucial facemask penalty on fourth down that eventually allowed

Yellowjackets Beat Sandcrabs Edcouch-Elsa to score its second touchdown of the game to take a 14-7 lead at the half. In the second half, the momentum seemed to shift Calhoun’s way. Twenty points to be exact. The Sandcrabs opened the third quarter with a long opening drive to tie the game. Calhoun marched down the field on 11 plays and ate almost five minutes off the clock, scoring on a 2-yard Boerm run to knot the game at 14-all. The Yellowjackets came back and ran just two plays before they fumbled the ball, and the Sand-crabs recovered the turnover. Calhoun took over at the Edcouch-Elsa 36-yard line and quickly took its first lead of the game. Boerm scored on a 3-yard run on the fifth play of the drive to give Calhoun a 21-14 lead with 4:25 left in the third quarter. Trailing 27-21 in the fourth quarter, Coach Garcia started making his bid for his first area title win. On a drive, Morales was able to score from one-yard out with 10:17 left to play to take a 28-27 lead. The Jackets would take possession again, this scoring on another Morales touchdown run from one yard out to give the Jackets their first area title since 2006. Calhoun’s Trey Robinson returned the kickoff 102 yards for a touchdown to cut the deficit to 36-34 with 1:16 left in the game. The Yellowjackets will play San Antonio Brennan this Friday night at Javelina Stadium at 7:30 p.m. in the Regional Finals.

(Mercedes, Tx)-Finally, a 32-4A District title for head coach Mi-chael Uribe of the Mercedes Ti-gers. A first for Uribe in his career and a first since 1999. The Tigers (8-2, 6-1) ended their season on a high note by defeating Mission 23-14, ruining the Eagles (9-1, 6-1) almost perfect season. With the Tiger win, they shared the 32-4A title with Edcouch-Elsa and Mission. “This is just great and I am so proud of these play-ers. They kept fighting all season and this was the end result,” said
Uribe. In the State 4A Division II Bi-District Championships, the Ti-gers faced the Alice Coyotes and the Tigers lost 31-15 victory at Tigers Stadium. The Coyotes improve to 9-3 and went on to defeat Calallen in the area round and plays Cedar Park this week in the regional finals. Mercedes ends its season at 8-3. As for the Tigers, they have made the state playoffs for the seventh straight season and in Uribe’s first head coaching job at
Mercedes, he wins his first title. “This is very humbling and win-ning this title is a first for me in my career as a head coach. This one is special. And I owe all this to my coaches and players,” said Uribe. Against the Coyotes, Mer-cedes scored first as Samuel Mo-ran connected on a 33-yard field goal to give the Tigers a 3-0 lead with 8:42 left in the first quarter. The field goal was set up after the Tigers recovered a fumble on a mishandled punt by Alice and
drew possession at the Coyotes 29-yard line. But Alice would answer right back with a drive of their own to set up a field goal by Alex Castillo from 45-yards to tie the game with 4:54 left in the first quarter. Alice went to its powerful running game and took its first lead 10-3 as running back Rob-ert Ramos scoring on a 75-yard run with 10:02 left in the second quarter. The Tigers were able to put a drive of their own to close the gap to 10-9 as quarterback Isaiah Garza rambled in from two yards out with 3:28 left in the first half. The Coyotes wasted no time and again, scored a touchdown to make it 17-9 as Preston Valenzu-ela scored on a 7-yard touchdown run with 1:20 left in the second quarter. In a crazy first half, the quarter still showed 1:20 left to play and Uribe went to his play book for a little razzle-dazzle to score before the half as Garza found Carlos Quintanilla on a 49-yard touch-down pass with 12 seconds left in the second quarter. Garza passed for 251 yards on the night and accounted for two touchdowns (one passing, one rushing). “I’m looking forward to next season but for now, I’m go-ing to enjoy this moment,” said Uribe. The Tigers finished the district play with one loss to the Edcouch-Elsa Yellowjackets.

(Mission, Tx)-At Tom Landry Stadium, No. 22 state-ranked Flour Bluff ended Mission Veter-ans Memorial shot at a state title by defeating the Pats 49-37 in the Class 4A Bi-District Champion-ships. “We’ve played these guys three times,” Flour Bluff coach Darrell Andrus told HSSM. The playoff rivalry showed and head coach Dave Gilpin, for a mo-ment watched his team play with Patriot pride. The Patriots (6-5) outgained the Hornets (11-0) 529-497 in total yardage. Patriots se-nior receiver Isaac Guerrero, who led all receivers with five catches for 120 yards proved that the Pats were the better team. The Pats will be looking forward to next season with Vets’ sophomore QB Santos Villarreal, returning. In his first playoff game, against one of the state’s best teams no less, Villarreal completed 13 of 27 passes for 192 yards and ran for 152 yards and five TDs off 33 carries. “I am proud of these play-ers tonight. We played a heck of a game,” said David Gilpin, head coach of Misison Veterans.

Tx. “We gave it all we had but we let this one get away from us. You cannot make mistakes in the playoffs,” said head coach, Mario Pena of Mision.
Pena watched Texan quarter-back Marcus Mosley connect with Matthew Merino on a 51-yard TD reception with four minutes left to play to make it 36-30. Still, the Eagles had their chances, even in the end. With the Eagles fans cheering, the Eagles faced second and goal on Ray’s 4 with 21 seconds left. Mission threw three incomplete passes and that ended the season for the Eagles. The Eagles were plagued by yellow flags throughout the eve-ning which stopped keyed drives. They were flagged 11 times for 110 yards. On Ray’s second scoring drive of the game, Mission had five penalties for 60 yards. Ray quar-terback Mosley had a big night completing 21-of-38 passing for 326 yards and a TD; two rushing TDs. Merino had eight catches for 183 yards and a TD. Rios paced Mission, which compiled 259 of its 332 total yards in the final two quarters, with 21-of-42 passing for 329 yards.

(Edinburg, Tx)-Three more athletes have each been awarded $250 academic scholarships in the latest installment of High School Sports Magazine’s Academic Player of the Week pre-sented by Raul Resendez, State Farm agent from Edinburg, Texas. Donna quarterback, Dion Padilla overcame injuroies he sustained in 2011 and led his team to a second place finish in District 30-5A. He also maintained an impressive 3.1 GPA and plans to attend the University of Texas in San Antonio and wants to major in Business Man-agement. He is a member of the Grid Iron He-roes. The Gridiron Heroes Spinal Cord Injury Foundation was formed in 2003 with a specif-ic mission: To provide immediate, as well as, long term resources and support to individu-als sustaining catastrophic spinal cord injury through activities associated with high school football. Erick Flores, a defensive back for the Mis-sion Eagles led his team to the 32-4A District Tri-Championships in 2012. He big play mak-ing on defense helped the Eagles end their season with an impressive 9-1 record. In the classroom, Flores has maintained an over-all 3.4 GPA and has earned 15 college credit hours. He is also a member of Skills USA. Isaias Martinez has led his Edcouch-Elsa football to the Class 4A Division II Regional finals. He is an all-purpose player with an im-pressive 3.2 GPA. A total of $2,500 dollars have been awarded to seven academic players and awards will be presented at each school’s awards presenta-tions in May 2013.

La Feria, Hidalgo, Share Title; Lyford, Stopped In 3A Bi-DistrictTarpons Advances to Regional(Kingsville, Tx)-The rains came in pouring and thunder-lightning filled the skies as the cold front blew in, but after a one hour delay the Port Isabel Tarpons took the field to defeat Sinton (9-3) 53-26 in the Class 3A Division II Area Championships. The win puts the Tarpons in the regional finals against Navarro this Saturday night at Phil Dana-her Stadium in Calallen. Kickoff is set for 6:00 p.m. “This was a long night,” said PI head coach Monty Stumbaugh. “We played like a playoff team and never gave up. This weather was aweful.” Kenny “The Jet” Herrera re-turned the opening kickoff 72 yards for a touchdown to get things rolling for Port Isabel (9-3). This is the Tarpons’ first trip to the third round of the postsea-son since 2004. Sinton’s year is over at 9-3.
For the evening, Port Isabel had 480 total yards (371 rushing).“Our offensive line did a great job,” Stumbaugh said. “We were able to control the clock and keep them off the field.
Bearkats 52 La Feria 36The Raymondville Bearkats de-feated La Feria 52-36 in a re-match Friday at Burnett Stadium in the Class 3A Division II bi-district playoffs. The District 31-3A runner-up Bearkats (6-5) advanced to the second round of the playoffs and and face Orange Grove (11-1). Against the Bulldogs, the Bear-kats lost 26-8 to end its season. District 32-3A third-place fin-isher La Feria (3-7), fell behind 25-0 and managed to close the gap to 32-29. “Whew, this one al-most got away from us tonight,” said Raymondville coach Joe Gonzales. The Bearkats were led
by running back Jesse Valladarez, who rushed for 303 yards and four touchdowns. Valladarez, scored on runs of 48, 71, 2 and 61 yards. Lions quarterback Jesse Ramon threw for 362 yards and four TDs. Ramon also ran for a score.
Port Isabel 40 Lyford 20 At Bobby Morrow Stadium in San Benito, Port Isabel quarter-back Isaiah Martinez rushed for 134 yards and two touchdowns while throwing for two more as the Tarpons soared past Lyford 40-20 in their Class 3A Division I bi-district game at Bobby Morrow Stadium. The victory for Port Isabel (8-3) sets up a date next week with the 9-2 Sinton Pirates, winners over Lytle. Port Isabel is in the area round for the first time since 2007 and last faced Sinton in the postseason back in 1996 in an area-round PI
win. Lyford (5-6) answered when Scot Arnold (27-43-1, 264 yards) found James Cruz for an eight-yard touchdown. Cruz hauled in 10 passes for 108 yards on a pro-ductive night.
Hidalgo 41 Kingsville 58At Sams Stadium in Brownsville, Kingsville King proved to be too much for Hidalgo winning 58-41 in the Class 3A Division I Bi-Dis-trict Championship game. The Brahmas were led by senior quarterback John “Bam” Hous-ton, who rushed for 203 yards and two touchdowns and passed for another 139 yards and four TDs.Hidalgo freshman QB Shea Pat-terson completed 30-40 for 277 yards and five TDs. The Pirates, coming off a 2011 season where all season games were forfeiteddue to UIL infrac-tions trailed Kingsville 30-28 entering the fourth quarter. Head coach Scott Ford was proud of his team’s success. “We won a share of the 32-3A title. That’s a huge accomplish-ment. Tonight we just fell short. It was a great season,” added Ford. “Our hats off to the Brahmas.”

La Villa, Santa Maria Make Playoffs in Class 1A Division IBearkats Wins Bi-District Title(Kingsville, Tx)-The Raymond-ville Bearkats (6-6) were elimi-nated by Orange Grove (11-1) 26-8 in the Class 3A, Division II Area Championship game at Javelina Stadium. Orange Grove (11-1) defeated Raymondville for the second time this year and ad-vances to the state regional finals. “We blew our chances with those turnovers. Eitherway, I’m very proud of this players,” said Gon-zales.” The Bearkats threw five in-terceptions and fumbled twice. Raymondville fumbled the open-ing possession away, but held the Bulldogs from scoring on that drive. Right before halftime, Raymondville running back Jesse Valladares (15 carries, 137 yards) broke loose on a 72-yard touch-down to keep the Bearkats within
one point at intermission 7-6.
La Villa 7 Thordale 28The La Villa Cardinals (9-2) lost to Thorndale 28-7 in the Class 1A Division I area playoffs at Victo-ria’s Memorial Stadium.

The Santa Maria Cougars (4-6) lost to Three Rivers (6-4) 68-6 in their Class A bi-district playoff game at Javelina Stadium.“I’m proud of our kids for getting here to the playoffs. We hope it’s something to build on,” said head coach Frank Muir.The Cougars trailed 54-0 at half-time and their only score came when Isaac Ortiz hit Orlando Gonzalez for a 41-yard touch-down in the third quarter.
