Series Notes against Wake Forest:• The loss drops Liberty to 0-2 against Wake

Forest, following a 34-14 loss to the De-mon Deacons in Winston-Salem in 2006.

• Liberty now is 0-3 all- me against ACC opponents, a er opening up last season with a 43-21 setback to N.C. State in Ra-leigh, N.C.

FBS Opponent Notes: • Liberty is now 2-15 all- me against Foot-

ball Bowl Subdivision teams (FBS).• The Flames held Wake Forest to 20 points

on Saturday, marking the fewest points scored by an FBS opponent against Lib-erty.

• Prior to Saturday, the fewest points Liberty had held an FBS opponent to was 23 points when the Flames upended Ball State, 27-23, in 2010.

• Prior to Saturday, the fewest points the Flames had held a FBS opponent to in a loss was 33 in a 33-20 loss at West Virginia in 2009.

• The three-point loss to Wake Forest marked Liberty’s second smallest margin of defeat to an FBS program, second only to a 35-34 loss at Toledo in 2007.

• Liberty was able to outgain Wake Forest thanks to its passing game, with Liberty’s quarterbacks combining to throw for 272 yards to Wake Forest’s 195 passing yards.
