After starting the revolution in military headgear almost six years ago, we have relentlessly

pursued our focus in providing system level solutions to the modern warfighter. Since every

mission and duty position is different, we have not compromised our brand with a “one size

fits all” mentality that typically limits the performance of high quality equipment. This is the

reason we offer six different helmet models and over twenty unique accessory lines dedicated

to augmenting their functionality. We know our customers are experts in what they do, so we

don’t try to tell them what they need. Instead, we give them a variety of options to choose from.

This is an exciting year for Ops-Core with the launch of over ten new products and the backing

of our new parent company, Gentex. We have retained our small company vision to support the

elite warrior, but have now gained the large company strength to increase our manufacturing

capacity. Gentex and Ops-Core have already poured millions into this commitment, with plans to

shorten our product lead times to less than sixty days by the end of the year. We are leveraging

new synergies with state of the art Gentex electronics, which gives us the bandwidth to add

sensory enhancement and communications capabilities to our helmets. The result is a family of

fully integrated headborne systems to enhance personal protection and situational awareness

for national security forces operating in high performance environments.

Countless options for countless missions, one soldier at a time.

Ops-Core Lux Liner

The Lux Liner is a revolutionary suspension system that combines a one-piece full coverage impact layer with modular, breathable comfort pads. Pads can be repositioned for comfort without affecting impact performance.

The Lux Liner system is available with a low profile Worm Dial fitband, or with our proven H-Nape Head-Loc® Retention System. The Lux Liner easily retrofits into FAST helmets using the existing Velcro® pattern in the shell. Available in S/M, M/L, L/XL sizes. Comfort pads come in two thicknesses.

Ops-Core’s hybrid suspension / liner design features an adjustable circumferential fitband with repositionable impact pads. The fitband allows the user to precisely adjust the liner shape and size for a customized fit and optimal comfort. Not only can the length, width and overall shape be personalized by simply turning the knob dial, the helmet depth can also be set by adjusting the vertical position of the whole system. This provides a perfect and secure fit that is able to support the weight and moment forces of a helmet in demanding military operations. The liner system is also compatible with a variety of communication headsets and hearing protection devices, including headband style COMMs. The headband slides under the fitband to rest in between the helmet’s two top impact pads eliminating pressure points and interference that is a common problem with traditional liner systems. The impact pads are also pre-molded to the shape of the head and are not affected by temperature, altitude or moisture.

COMFORT = FIT + STABILITY + MATERIAL DESIGN

The patented Head-Loc Retention System has a unique strap geometry that creates straight force lines to evenly distribute the helmet load on the head. This design eliminates pre-existing slack in the system that causes instability and slipping problems inherent to all other conventional chinstraps.

Head-Loc tabs do away with loose strap ends and provide quick and easy one-handed adjustment. They also keep the design low profile, lightweight, and snag free. Combined, these features result in a retention solution that is secure, comfortable and adaptable to a variety of mission scenarios and environmental conditions.

When wearing NVGs or conducting rigorous physical activities, the helmet can be stabilized without use of counterweights or other bulky devices, facilitating a high performance head-borne platform that stays put and does not flop around in ways that could be detrimental to the task at hand.

COMFORT = FIT + STABILITY + MATERIAL DESIGNHelmets are worn for extensive periods of time under extreme environmental conditions. The materials selected for helmet components must be able to withstand substantial amounts of wear and tear while also providing consistent protection, comfort and support. These requirements can be contradictory and difficult to achieve and often require innovative solutions with unique combinations of materials and parts. Ops-Core uses different materials carefully designed and chosen to work in combination with one another to provide the desired performance benefits. The resulting components represent just a few of the many ways we are trying to improve the comfort, ventilation, protection and stability of our 2012 products.

• Wrapped in breathable, moisture-wicking outer fabric

• Low moisture absorbency, dual-density comfort material

• Closed cell memory comfort foam

• Durable impact layer is impervious to environmental conditions

59.2 cmcircumference

BASE LEVEL HEAD COVERAGEUnderstanding CoverageTraditional methods for determining the amount of protective coverage a helmet provides are based on calculating the exterior surface area of the helmet shell. This approach can be misleading when comparing different helmet shapes – for example in this scenario a larger helmet surface area does not necessarily mean larger head coverage area. At Ops-Core, we use standardized computer modeling techniques to project a line-of-sight “shadow” from the helmet onto the largest headform for a given helmet size. The surface area of this shadow is then measured to yield the true amount of the head that is actually protected yielding an accurate representation of protective coverage.

•Fits Para-Flite PHAOS and Carleton Phantom O2 Masks

•Streamlined snag-free design that quickly attaches and releases from the helmet rails

•Snap Dragon bayonet buckle with a quick release feature

•Head-Loc tabs allow on the fly adjustment for tightening and loosening the fit of the mask

•Available in the following colors:

•Attaches to the rear part of the rail, opening up the top rail real estate to lights, cameras, etc.

•Folds back and stows in the back of the helmet when not in use, very low profile in that configuration – the ear cups are not visible from front view

•Creates a “natural hearing” system which provides the user with situational awareness, while giving the necessary hearing protection

•Single-point gimble attachment allows for 360° of adjustment instead of conventional “single axis” adjustment systems – it auto positions to each individual’s ear / head shape

•Ear cushion is contoured to match the geometry of the head – thus providing a better seal and proper attenuation

SLAAP PLATE

•The SLAAP™ plate can withstand an impact from a 7.62 x 39 caliber, 123 gr. FMJ with mild steel core penetrator shot at muzzle velocity of 2,400 (+ 50) fps at 0° obliquity, with less than 25.4 mm (1 in) of backface deformation (Stopping a round from penetration is not enough to mitigate injury – the round must be stopped in short enough distance to prevent fracturing of the skull)

•SLAAP Plates come in two sizes: Large (1.0 lbs) and Small (.85 lbs)

•The operator only needs to sustain the additional weight for short periods of time in circumstances of imminent enemy contact (This distinct design feature increases combat mobility and awareness and decreases fatigue)

•The SLAAP plate is made of a durable material so it can be stowed in operational kit without the concern of damaging it

•The SLAAP Plate is specifically designed to fit the range of Ops-Core helmets, ballistic performance is not guaranteed on other helmet geometries

•Customizable weight management system with (5) 70g removable weights and (5) elastic pockets

•Secure attachment from custom nylon anchors mounted to longer ballistic screws (all included) and Velcro® hook to ensure low profile, motion free positioning

•Total weight of .85lbs (385 g) Made of 500 Denier Cordura and Hypalon

•Elastic pockets stretch to fit either (2) weights or (1) weight and (1) battery (AA, AAA, or 123)

•Cover includes mini Chemlight window and small Velcro patch for 20mm Glint tape square for low-light IFF

The H-Nape is the standard issue chinstrap for USSOCOM. It is intended for operators conducting rigorous activities while wearing NVGs like the PVS-15 or ANVis-9 with heavier accessories mounted to the helmet. It features a fifth adjustment tab on the nape pad to provide the extra security and prevent any back and forth helmet rotation. All Ops-Core Head-Loc Chinstraps are designed to resolve NVG instability which occurs when helmets are slipping on the head. When NVGs are not stable, they are difficult to look through which renders them ineffective and can be detrimental to the user when operating a vehicle of controlling a canopy.

H-Nape Chinstrap

Features (H-Nape and X-Nape)

EASE OF USE•Patented Head-Loc tabs provide instant one-handed chinstrap adjustment while wearing the helmet

SIMPLIFIED STRAP GEOMETRY•Straight force lines and unique design eliminate loose ends

COMFORT•Padded leather chin cup and nape pad provide support during long missions•Custom webbing weave provides greater durability and ventilation•Available in left or right eye configurations to keep buckle on opposite side of weapon sighting

STABILITY MATTERS

The X-Nape is intended for users conducting rigorous activities while wearing lighter NVGs like the PVS-14 or having smaller accessory equipment mounted to the helmet. Without the added weight of heavier devices, the X-Nape provides the same security and comfort as the H-Nape and does not require a fifth adjustment point on the back. Unlike competitor designs that require removal of the mounting screws to set the height of the nape pad, the X-Nape version self-adjusts to the back of the skull resulting in an ultra-clean, low-profile system.
