2012 Pan Pacific Masters Games Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia 3 to 11 November 2012 Judo will be one of a record 41 sports on the program at the 8th Pan Pacific Masters Games to be held on the beautiful Gold Coast from 3 to 11 November 2012. The Pan Pacs, as the Games are affectionately known, are a celebration of master’s sport with both fierce and friendly competition on the sporting field and a fun-filled entertainment program at the Games Village each night. The sport is conducted in age groups with no qualifying standards to enter. The only criteria for entry is that participants must meet the minimum age for their sport, and for most sports that is 30 years of age. All sports are located in close proximity to the Games Village situated at the Gold Coast Convention & Exhibition Centre in Broadbeach. The Games Village will feature the registration centre, live nightly entertainment, fully catered hospitality and merchandise, but most-of-all, an exclusive venue for participants to meet up and enjoy the spirit of the Pan Pacs. The Pan Pacific Masters Games is organised by Events Queensland Gold Coast with great support from the Gold Coast City Council and the host organisations for all 41 sports. The 8th Pan Pacific Masters Games will be held from 3 to 11 November in 2012 on the beautiful Gold Coast. There will be more than 40 sports on the program, with more than 11,000 people from all over the world expected to participate.

The Pan Pacific Masters Games is a celebration of masters sport with both fierce and friendly competition and a jam-packed entertainment program at the Games Village at the end of each day. The slogan sums it up “Play it, Live it, Love it!”

Participants at the Pan Pacs, as the Games are affectionately known, compete in their age group with no qualifying standards to enter. The only criterion for entry is a minimum age for each sport – and for most sports that is 30 years of age.

Additional Information • Divisions and bouts will be set in age and

weight groups at the discretion of the Tournament Director according to entries.

• A teams event will be held if numbers permit after the individual shiai.

• Competition will be conducted under International Judo Federation rules modified for Masters age groups.

• Participants are required to bring their Judo Federation of Australia Inc or international body membership record to the competition weigh-in as evidence of their insurance coverage.

• Non-members must obtain a Judo Queensland three month membership for $40 online via jfaq.com.au/find-a-club

• Insurance coverage details may be viewed at the Judo Federation of Australia Inc website (ausjudo.com.au under the ‘Policies’ tab).

• The tournament is presented by Judo Queensland and is sanctioned by the Judo Federation of Australia.
