Lacy Parasol Fundraiser Rose for Barossa Rose & Flower Show Committee

Unauthorised Propagation Prohibited

BREEDER : Mary Frick

VARIETY: Lacy Parasol

TYPE: Floribunda

COLOUR: Clear pink blooms with a cream base and lighter reverse

FLOWER: Approximately 35 frilly petals open lightly cupped blooms

to reveal red stamens with a delicious sweet fragrance, sin-

gularly and in clusters

BUSH: Well clothed to the ground with foliage that turns leathery as

it ages with good disease resistance. Grows slightly spread-

ing to a height of approximately 1.2 metres, with an average

number of large slightly hooked red prickles.

Staging The Show Hall will be available for staging 1:00pm to 10:00pm

Friday 2nd November and 7:00am to 9:30am Saturday 3rd November 2013.

Personal instruction on “How to Stage” your flowers will be from 12.00pm to

1.00pm on Friday 1st November 2013

2013 Revised Judges Handbook is available for purchase ($4.00)

Exhibitors to collect Class Cards prior to staging from the Show Co-ordinators.

The Hall will be cleared promptly at 9.30am and judging will

commence at 9.45am. Please stage your exhibits early.

Note:

Only Judges and Stewards are allowed in the Hall during judging

Rules & Definitions

All entries except Floral Arrangements and Students are to be

grown by the exhibitor.

DISTINCT means different colours

or cultivars. (Definitely Different)

NND means Not Necessarily Distinct.

(May be the same or different)

Bottles, staging vases, water & corks

will be supplied. (Please ensure all

containers are filled to the top with

water when staging). Roses are very

thirsty and bottles empty quickly.

The Exhibitor must stage their own exhibits. Stewards will assist

you if necessary.

Multi Stem exhibits are to be staged in a single green vase

(supplied) excepting the Novice Classes unless otherwise stated.

Stem—A stem is defined as an original stem which carries a single

bloom or bud.

Cut—A cut is a stem that carries more than one bloom, and/or Bud/s

Exhibitors Requirements in Rose Sections Open Section: All exhibitors are eligible to enter.

Intermediate: This section is for exhibitors who have won a ‘Novice’

Champion Award but excludes ‘A’ and ‘B’ grade Rose Society of S.A.

exhibitors. However, Novice exhibitors and ‘C’ grade Rose Society of

S.A. members can exhibit in these classes.

Novice Section: This section is for exhibitors who have NOT won a

‘Novice Championship’ Award or higher in the Barossa Rose and

Flower Show.

Exhibitors who have previously entered in a Rose Society of S.A Inc.

competition are INELIGIBLE to be classed as a Novice.
