Founded in 2006, Byerly Boards has been my dream for as long as I’ve been riding boards, which dates back to the founding years of both Wakeboarding and Wakeskating. Today I’m happy to say that my dream has taken root, and with my crew we’re creating a brand that is unique within the board sports world. With Butch’s shaping skills and knowledge of construction methods we’ve again pushed the boundaries of Wakeboard Design. At Byerly Boards we pride ourselves on pressing the limits of fiberglass technology and board construction. Our “Evolution of Glass Technology” refers to the different internal construction methods we use throughout the line. These technologies and construction methods took years of development and testing to ensure they were perfect before they were introduced. Most importantly all of these constructions focus on materials that are designed to be compatible with the overall construction of the board. Only combinations of material that fuse to become one during the compression molding process are selected. This

ensures the strongest possible board construction we can build.

DOUBLE LAP™ CONSTRUCTION (Available in Monarch 52” 54” 56”)This construction utilizes the additional strength created when the top and bottom fiberglass sheets overlap one another at the perimeter of the board. Once fused, the overlapped glass creates a stronger, more durable sidewall. The Double Lap is exclusive to Byerly boards and the first level of fiberglass technology.

CROSS-LINK™ FIBERGLASS I-BEAM CONSTRUCTION (Available in AR-1 53”, 55”)Cross Link construction is the culmination of years of testing and design. It is the most advanced form of fiberglass technology to date. This innovative construction method utilizes the strength provided by linking the top and bottom laminates through woven fiberglass stringers. These stringers are threaded through reliefs in the core allowing them to make contact with both the top and base fiberglass laminates. When the board is laid up the resin fuses with the laminates to form a singular fiberglass structure.

DUAL FIBERGLASS ROPE INLAYS™ (Available in Conspiracy 54” 56”)Utilizing the same Woven Glass Rope found in the Assault series, the Conspiracy takes it one step further. This ultra strong material is not only found in the sidewalls of the board but also in the perimeter of the elevated deck. This means twice the reinforcement creating unmatched strength and a fore-body that will maintain its rocker line all the way through the wake. A board that is stronger and more responsive than anything in the industry with no added weight, the ultimate in glass technology!

FLAK-JACKET™ CONSTRUCTION (Available in Blunt 53” 55”)The construction incorporates Carbon and Kevlar strands into a larger diameter fiberglass rope perimeter. These two elements add both strength and an explosive pop and responsiveness. We call this new sidewall our “Flak Jacket Sidewall”. This new material runs the full perimeter of the Blunt creating an uninterrupted ring of strength, durability, and lively pop!

Aaron Rathy has become a constant force in the sport and his riding style seems to evolve with every season. Since his first year with Byerly he has been working on a shape that was designed specifically for him. The AR-1 is the culmination of all the hard work and testing. Scott “Butch” Bouchard designed this shape to be responsive, fast and poppy, but also extremely durable. This is accomplished with our all new Cross Link construction. This process fuses the top and bottom fiberglass laminates in four zones throughout the core. By connecting the top and bottom laminates a strong “I-beam” bond is formed. This new construction method has allowed us to design a thinner shape with no loss of strength. The AR-1 utilizes Byerly’s first Continuous rocker line to generate maximum speed into the wake with no loss of pop .The new profile allows the board to have a very responsive feel and hold a strong edge into the wake. Mr.

Rathy and Butch have been working on this shape for three seasons and now it is ready to rip.

When Scott Bouchard and the Byerly team decide to build a new product, they always work to create the best in the category. The JIB series is the first true flex board in the Byerly line and one that helps to redefine what a little flex can do for a shape. Beginning with the construction, this series features a fully machined Crossover Core that utilizes wood and foam stringers to create a durable board with great flex characteristics. In order to maintain a solid rocker line Butch added a woven Carbon inlay between the bindings so this shape didn’t loose anything off the wake. The JIB also features a 360 degree ABS sidewall and Sintered Enduro base to ensure your fun at the

T H E B L U N TAfter years of development, Byerly Boards is proud to present the Blunt series. Shaped by Scott Bouchard, this all new design includes ground breaking advancements in both construction and features. Internally the Blunt utilizes our exclusive Flak Jacket Sidewall. This new sidewall material is comprised of strands of Carbon, Kevlar, and Fiberglass all woven together in a .25” diameter. When combined these materials create a full 360 degree perimeter of added strength, flex, and pop. This new construction method allows the Blunt to be the thinnest most durable Byerly shape to date. Building a board with a fully customizable fin system was also part of the driving force in Scott Bouchard’s new creation. The Blunt features a molded-in style of removable fin that has two mounting locations. This allows a rider to run the fins closer to the tip/tail for a more locked in feel or nearly 1” from the tip/tail for a quicker release off the wake. The Blunt’s Blended 3-Stage rocker line provides just enough speed while still maintaining great pop. This series truly defines glass technology evolution and is a great choice for behind the boat or cable park sessions.

The Monarch series has become a staple in the Byerly wakeboard line. It’s mellow, Blended 3-stage rocker and shorter molded-in fins allow the board to release quicker off the wake than previous shapes. The Conspiracy series takes the durability and strength a Glass Rope sidewall delivers one step further with an additional deck inlay. The System Binding launches a revolution in water sports footwear. This external binding was designed specifically for use with our new System Boots. Our new design philosophy allows us to build unmatched strength, support, and response into the binding itself without sacrificing comfort. The System Binding features full GX3 construction making it light weight and extremely strong. The articulating highback allows for greater support and moves with a rider’s leg to ensure a full range of rear motion. The adjustable ankle and toe straps are built with maximum retention in mind without creating unwanted pressure points. The System Binding also features an underfoot bridge that connects the side walls of the chassis creating a torsionaly strong construction that won’t twist or lift. This feature also allows a rider to stand directly on the deck of the board creating an unmatched rider to board connection. The Shift features a snug and supportive traditional boot feel. The Dual Quick Cinch lace system allows for customizable tightness in the upper and lower lace zones. We have also added additional lateral support to provide a supportive feel without sacrificing forward flexion. The Shift features our new Low Pro plate that puts the rider closer to the deck of the board for maximum feel and control. It is also our lightest plate design to date. All in all, the Shift has everything a boot needs in a supportive lightweight package.

The Standard boot is an easy-to-get-into adjustable boot. It features dual lace zones for a customizable fit and the all the plushness you come to expect from an open-toe. Pure wood construction and a team influenced shape make up the new Heritage wakeskate series. This 12ply concave deck was designed by Butch and ridden by Scott, George, and Ross until they had created the perfect wood deck. The blended 3-Stage rocker line generates great pop but is mellow enough to carry good speed into the wake. The machined base channels also help to add just enough edge hold without sacrificing a fluid release off the water.

The Revival series is the second generation of True Skate compression molded decks. True Skate concaves are closer to real skate decks than anything available in the market. The revival’s compression molded construction also makes it stronger and more durable than most wakeskates out there. The new and improved top features run closer to the edges of the skate allowing for better control and foot placement. This series also features a wider profile for added surface area, creating more pop off the wake. The Revival is the foundation of the Byerly Wakeskate line.

The Byerly team and Butch got together this off-season to create the most advanced wakesurf board the industry has seen. This 5’4” ripper can be used as a single, dual, or quad fin set-up, allowing a rider to customize it specifically for their style or ability. The Hazard’s blended rocker line locks into the sweet spot of the curl and is fast and responsive enough to accommodate a wide array of body weights. With the success of the Hazard series already under their belts, the team headed back to the shaping room to create the next generation of Byerly wakesurfers. Butch took many of the same features that made the first board such a huge success and turned them into the new compression molded Byerly Volt. The 4’10” Volt features minimal tail rocker and a dual concave base to make it a very fast shape that will keep riders driving into the sweet spot of the curl. The new tip fin is a great addition for advanced riders looking to have a little extra traction when riding the board switch. The tail fins offer a variety of mounting options allowing the board to be set up as a thruster, dual, tri or single fin set up making it perfect for any style of rider. Best of all, the Biolite compression molded construction provides superior durability without the hefty price tag of epoxy boards.
