Message from the Principal Season’s greetings! Christ’s message, “It is more blessed to give than to receive,” has been taken to heart by our students and their families. Your very generous response to such things our school’s own “Christmas Giving Tree” will brighten the season for some of our own students and their families. “Prayer and Share Day” not only brings our school community together to give thanks for all of our blessings, but also allows us to share with those in need at Equinox and the Albany City Mission. Both of those charities are very grateful for our school’s support. Your over- whelming response to our “Coats for Kids” drive will keep literally hundreds of children warm this winter. Your coats come at a time when the participating cleaners tell me that they have very few coats left to give. It has been a Godsend for those children in need. Your tremendous response to our “Lids for Lucas” hat day has provided Lucas the opportunity to stand upright and begin to take his first steps while at school and now at home. The Baker family remains eternally grateful for that gift. As Christmas nears, our students will joyfully sing about the gift of Jesus Christ at our Christmas concerts. We hope to see you there. As importantly, we will continue to celebrate His daily pres- ence in our lives and serve those around us long after the last Christmas tree is taken down. On behalf of Father Walsh and our faculty and staff, I wish you all a very blessed and merry Christmas, and a happy and healthy New Year. Message from the Principal

Season’s greetings! Your over-whelming response to our “Coats for Kids” drive will keep literally hundreds of children warm this winter. Meatloaves Wanted !

Sacred Heart Food Pantry Needs Our Help

As you might already know, our school conducts

two food drives during the year for the Sacred

Heart Food Pantry in North Albany, just miles

from our school.

We are in need of volunteers to make a meatloaf

just once a month to provide a special meal each

week for those families who rely on the food pan-

try.

Sister Sarah tells us her people love St.Pius X

meatloaves. Some have even requested our school

meatloaves instead of turkey for their Thanksgiv-

ing meal.

Please consider joining us in feeding those less

fortunate. Meatloaves, fresh or frozen, may be

dropped off at the school.
