Committed to glorifying God, the Youth Ministry of Sardis Presbyterian Church exists to accept, engage and nurture all youth and their families in order that they become disciples of Christ and serve the Lord. SardisYouth JULY 2013 @ Graduation Sunday Congratulations high school graduates! And thank you so much for participating in the Sunday graduation brunch and worship service! Your Sardis family wishes you the best in your future endeavors! A huge thanks to the Sardis staff and many volunteers from Youth and Christian Education Ministries whose hard work made the day very special! VBS Project, Nail Polish, and Food Our high school girls had fun during a sleepover they had in June. The girls worked on cutting out string, felt, and tissue paper to help get ready for Sardis’ VBS. They worked up an appetite and enjoyed a dinner of lasagna and salad they prepared! Of course, a sleepover would not be a sleepover with out making a trip to Wal-Mart! The girls ran around to see who could find the cutest outfit for the best price, and picked up some nail polish to paint each other's nails with. It was a wonderful time of fellowship for the girls! VBS Volunteers Calling middle and high schoolers! Sardis VBS needs you! If you can volunteer at VBS, July 8-12, contact Renda Brinson: [email protected] or 704-926-1585 Inside @Sardis Youth... Find out how our middle schoolers did at the Great Escape, and see what our high schoolers accomplished at the Pittsburgh Project! High School Fall Retreat Save the date for the high school fall retreat! We will be going to Ocean Isle Beach, September 20-22. Our theme starting in the fall is Fearless! Graduation Sunday

Congratulations high school graduates! And thank you so much for participating in the Sunday graduation brunch and worship service! Your Sardis family wishes you the best in your future endeavors! A huge thanks to the Sardis staff and many volunteers from Youth and Christian Education Ministries whose hard work made the day very special!

VBS Project, Nail Polish, and Food

Our high school girls had fun during a sleepover they had in June.

If you can

volunteer at VBS, July 8-12, contact Renda Brinson: [email protected]

Middle Schoolers at the Great Escape

What happens when you combine a climbing tower, shaving cream, dynamic worship, challenging messages, refugee service project, middle schoolers, advisors, a long bus ride to Tennessee, crazy games and not a whole lot of sleep? The Great Escape is what happens. And it was epic. There are more photos and descriptions of the experience at greatescapesardis.blogspot.com. Make sure to check it out!

High Schoolers at the Pittsburgh Project

It was a week filled with hard work, laughs, new friendships and growing in faith. What more could you ask? One blog post simply read, “Sometimes words can’t tell the story, so there are pictures.” From an early morning departure on Sunday, to leaving behind luggage, making new friends, connecting with homeowners, rocking karaoke, face paint pranking, drinking hot sauce, learning about poverty, and experiencing a world both completely different and amazingly similar to ours. There are more photos, videos and truly inspirational stories on the team’s blog: sardispittsburghproject.wordpress.com. Check it out and leave a comment. Share it with a friend. We are so proud of our high schoolers and their week of sacrifice and serving. These guys really “get it.”
