WELCOME TO A LIFETIME OF FORWARD THINKING

1903 – Forward thinking has been in our nature from the very start. The 6HP, our fi rst ever car, had two forward gears. And no reverse.

1957 – The PA Cresta introduced Americana styling to the UK.

1937 – The Vauxhall ‘10’ H-type, the fi rst British car to have integral construction.

1922 – The Silver Arrow OE 30-98 was capable of speeds of over 100mph, this model was built for shipping magnate Sir Leonard Ropner to race at Brooklands.

1971 – The formation of Dealer Team Vauxhall (DTV). The track car was the precursor to our

enormous success in touring car racing.

1984 – The MkII Astra introduced class-leading aerodynamic styling that still looks good today. The Formula Vauxhall Lotus ran a modifi ed version of the Astra GTE’s 2.0i 16v engine.

The world was a very different place in 1903 when Vauxhall made its first car. We steered with tillers, not wheels. Six horsepower was considered pretty nippy. And King Edward’s face was still on the stamps. But for us, one important thing hasn’t changed: we started out with a philosophy of Forward Thinking and, more than 100 years later, it still motivates everything we do. Who knows what innovations the next 100 years will bring?

The Vauxhall Lifetime Warranty. There’s one thing every owner of a new Vauxhall can rely on. We’re so confident in Vauxhall quality and reliability that we are now able to offer a lifetime warranty. It’s available to the first owner of all our new Vauxhall passenger cars and valid for the lifetime of the vehicle up to a maximum of 100,000 miles. So you’ve got year after year of carefree driving to look forward to...

WARRANTY 100,000 MILE

2012 – The ‘RAK e’. A radical looking electric concept car for the future.

Our forward thinking continues.

1999 – The Zafi ra introduced the revolutionary Flex7 ®

seating system inventing the seven-seat compact MPV.

1990 – The Calibra was the world’s most aerodynamic production car.

1989 – The Lotus Carlton was the world’s fastest production four-door saloon.

2012 – Ampera. The fi rst ever Extended-Range Electric Vehicle (E-REV) that redefi ned electric vehicle innovation leading to it being voted European Car Of The Year 2012.

URBAN RULES. OFF-ROAD ATTITUDE

Experience a true SUV with a truly sensational drive. Compact enough to be

nimble in city traffic the Mokka maintains precise handling whatever you do and

wherever you go, even on the most demanding of roads – or off the beaten track.

Its muscular and sporty design belies the light, agile chassis, which makes the fuel

and emission figures refreshingly easy on the eye too. Practical, agile and incredibly

convenient, the Mokka is streets ahead of a conventional SUV.

Mokka simply delivers. Find out more about this ground-

breaking new Vauxhall at www.vauxhallmokka.co.uk

LOOK SMART. THINK SMART

The Mokka has the brains to go with the looks. In fact, the safety options it offers –

like the enhanced Vauxhall Front Camera System and Adaptive Forward Lighting – are

world class. The Mokka’s off-road credibility comes from its advanced descent control

system and intelligent four-wheel drive, which is reassuring on the road too. Then

there’s the front and rear parking sensors and even a rear view camera. The Mokka is

full of intelligent ideas that make driving more fun and relaxing.

The Mokka is a car that can handle anything your life throws at it. There are

four distinctive models available to explore: S, Exclusiv, Tech Line and SE. All seat

five friends or family with more than enough room to stretch your legs. Advanced

ergonomically designed seats provide supreme comfort, while clever storage

options keep the spacious interior neat and tidy. Plus, you can stay in touch while on

the move with state-of-the-art infotainment systems. And with a boot that stretches

to 1372 litres with the rear seats folded, the Mokka gives you a real sense of space.

CAPABILITY WITHOUT COMPROMISE

GO EVEN FURTHER

If you’re into adventurous biking as well as driving, you’ll be into Flex-Fix®.

This carrier, unique to Vauxhall, allows the Mokka to get you and your bike to even

the toughest of trails. A first in this class, it slides effortlessly in and out of the rear

bumper so you can easily attach your bike on the back of your Mokka. The tailgate still

opens too, simply tilt the Flex-Fix® system out of the way. You can even fit a Flex-Fix®

extension to add two more bikes for even more fun.

14

SEE FURTHER. DRIVE SAFERSophisticated driver aids set the Mokka apart. It’s the first car in its class to offer adaptive bi-xenon headlights, in the shape of an Adaptive Forward Lighting (AFL) system. AFL improves visibility and safety at night by automatically adjusting the direction and strength of your headlights, adapting instantly to suit different speeds, traffic situations and even the weather conditions.

Page 15: 2013 Models Edition 1 - Vauxhall Fleet · British car to have integral construction. 1922 – The Silver Arrow OE 30-98 was capable of speeds of over 100mph, this model was built

15

Advanced Adaptive Forward Lighting.

High beam assist (over 25mph).

Automatically switches from high to

low beam as it detects oncoming or

preceding vehicles.

Adverse weather light (up to

45mph). Wiper or rain sensor

activated for better vision in bad

weather conditions.

Town light (20–35mph). Wider and

lower spread of light. Activated by vehicle

speed together with street lighting.

Pedestrian area light (up to 20mph).

Wider spread of light (an extra eight

degrees left and right) illuminates

potential hazards.

Static cornering light (up to 25mph,

also when reversing). Throws light

90 degrees left or right for enhanced

lateral vision.

Dynamic curve light (any speed).

Activated by steering angle and speed,

the headlights swivel up to 15 degrees

into the curve.

Motorway light (over 60mph).

140 metre range, higher and brighter

than normal low beam, without dazzle.

Country road light (35-70mph).

Wider spread and brighter light than

normal low beam. 70 metre range

without dazzle.

16

The Mokka’s passive safety systems are uncompromising and comprehensive. It’s difficult to

imagine how you could be better protected inside your Mokka. You are surrounded by a high-strength

steel rigid passenger cell as well as front, side and full-length curtain airbags. On the outside,

pedestrians are protected by bumpers that use low-density foam, designed to reduce the risk of leg

injuries should the unthinkable happen.

SAFEGUARD YOUR INTERESTSIntelligent driver-aid options for high-level safety. Options like the Front Camera System with Forward Collision Alert, Traffic Sign Recognition and Lane Departure Warning, are all designed to help keep this SUV on the straight and narrow.

Page 17: 2013 Models Edition 1 - Vauxhall Fleet · British car to have integral construction. 1922 – The Silver Arrow OE 30-98 was capable of speeds of over 100mph, this model was built

17

Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR).

Utilising the Front Camera System*,

this clever feature makes sure you’re

constantly made aware of speed limits,

even when temporary signs are put up.

TSR continually monitors road signs,

and gives you a warning if you

unintentionally stray over the limit. It

can even read and display motorway

electronic signs related to speed limits

like rain or snow warnings.

Forward Collision Alert (FCA).

FCA uses the Front Camera System*

to monitor the distance of a vehicle in

front and alert the driver of potential

collisions. At speeds above walking

pace, it triggers visual and audible

warnings if you approach slower-

moving vehicles too fast. They

can be adjusted at three different

distance settings.

Front Camera System* A specialised

high-resolution camera that helps you

drive more safely. Mounted in the front

of the rear-view mirror, it constantly

monitors road signs and displays

speed limits in your instrument panel

as well as warning you if you should

inadvertently leave the lane of travel or

get too close to the car in front. Lane Departure Warning (LDW).

LDW uses the Front Camera System*

to recognise lane marking lines, and

emits an audible warning if your

vehicle leaves its lane unintentionally

(i.e. without you signalling), preventing

potential accidents and reminding you

of inattention or tiredness. The LDW

system can be deactivated via a

facia switch.

*Optional on Exclusiv, Tech Line and SE, not available on S.

18

INNOVATIVE FEATURESThe Mokka’s advanced ergonomics mean you couldn’t wish for a more comfortable compact SUV. Or one with more room – there are up to 19 storage compartments to free-up space. And with features like the driver’s seat armrest, Electronic Climate Control, the Flex-Fix® bike carrier system and heated front seats – everywhere you look you’ll see well thought out, ergonomic design, for your comfort.

1. Ergonomic sports front seats. The ergonomic design

– certified by the German Aktion Gesunder Rücken, an

association of orthopaedic experts – is the ideal choice for

drivers looking for extra comfort. The seats* adjust to suit

your posture by letting you fine tune the lumbar support and

extend the seat cushion. Giving your upper body and legs

more support where you need it most.

*Standard on SE models.

19

2. Driver’s seat armrest. Practical,

comfortable and supportive, the

armrest can be flipped up to provide

easier access to the centre console.

3. Rear view camera and display.

This optional system gives you a

clear view of the area behind the car

on the colour infotainment screen.

Working in conjunction with the rear

parking distance sensors, you’ll quickly

realise just how easy it becomes to

reverse the car safely. Available in

conjunction with Navi 600 satellite

navigation system.

4. Winter Pack and Electronic Climate Control (ECC).

Heated front seats and even a heated steering wheel. Order

yourself the optional Winter Pack* and stay warm no matter

how the temperature dips outside. Exclusiv, Tech Line and

SE models also feature ECC as standard, a bonus whatever

the weather. While the dual-zone settings mean you can

set a different temperature for each side of the car. How

cool is that?

5. Flex-Fix® bike carrier system. This optional, fully

integrated rack slides in and out of the Mokka’s rear bumper

so you can easily attach your bike on the back of the car. To

open the tailgate, you just tilt the rack out of the way. Add

the accessory Flex-Fix® extension to carry two more bikes.

IMPROVE YOUR DRIVETIMEThe Mokka is robust and ready to rock. But with features like DMB digital radio standard on all models, Bluetooth® connectivity on most and the availability of a sat nav system, it still has all the technology you need to keep you entertained and in touch while on the move.

1. CD 400 stereo. The CD 400 audio unit features DMB

(Digital Multi-media Broadcast) digital radio. This means

digital quality sound, a broader range of stations, easier to

find by name, and improved track display info on certain

stations. It also features 20 watts per channel output with

six speakers and a graphic information display, plus an

aux-in socket for external portable music players. Wherever

your Mokka takes you, it has the power and precision to fill

the car with fantastic sound.

Page 21: 2013 Models Edition 1 - Vauxhall Fleet · British car to have integral construction. 1922 – The Silver Arrow OE 30-98 was capable of speeds of over 100mph, this model was built

21

2. Navi 600. The Navi 600 is a satellite navigation system that features a

seven-inch, high-resolution colour display that’s on a level with your line of sight.

The navigation map data and Points of Interest (POI) are stored on a fast-access

SD card. As well as the usual fastest and shortest route, the most economical

journey can be selected. You can even connect external devices via USB or an

aux-in socket so you can listen to music and still know where you’re heading.

Six speakers and 20 watts per channel output also ensure crystal clear sound.

Standard on Tech Line models, this system is also optional on Exclusiv and

SE models.

3. Plug-and-play USB connectivity. Most Mokka models feature a USB

interface so you can hook up almost any MP3 player, smartphone or USB stick to

your Mokka’s infotainment system and access music, podcasts and other files via

the steering wheel remote.

FEEL THE GRIPFrom a steep off-road descent to a fast commute in a cloudburst at dusk. Packed with high-end technology like Descent Control System and the availability of intelligent four-wheel drive, the Mokka can comfortably handle whatever comes its way.

Electronic Stability Programme (ESP-plus). Every

Mokka features the latest ESP-plus with Traction Control

reducing the tendency to oversteer or understeer almost

unnoticeably.

Descent Control System (DCS). Take your Mokka off-road and you can use

DCS to safely control your speed on extreme downhill gradients without having

to brake.

Hill Start Assist (HSA). HSA will stop you rolling back unintentionally on steep

hills, by automatically releasing the brake at just the right moment when pulling

away on a gradient.

Grip on demand. Choose a Mokka

with the intelligent four-wheel drive

system and you can look forward to

increased driving stability and

improved handling in the toughest

of conditions. The 4X4 system uses

sensors to monitor a range of

conditions including steering angle

and the relative speed of the wheels.

A sophisticated torque transfer device

then automatically distributes drive

between the front and rear wheels for

optimum traction and superior safety

in the prevailing road conditions.

Engine choice. Mokka drivers can select from a range of powerful yet efficient

units. From the highly flexible 115PS 1.6 litre VVT and 140PS 1.4 litre turbo petrol

unit. To the fuel-efficient 1.7 litre turbo diesel engines with the option of automatic

transmission, each producing 130PS and up to 60mpg. In addition, all engines

comply with the rigorous Euro 5 emissions standard. So, if performance,

responsiveness, low emissions and affordability are high on your agenda,

there’s an engine that’ll put a big grin on your face. All supported by the

Vauxhall 100,000 mile Lifetime Warranty too*.

Start/Stop. Vauxhall’s innovative system switches the engine off when you

stop at the lights or in traffic, then restarts it automatically once the clutch is

depressed; saving you fuel and reducing emissions. A huge range of built-in

checks ensures passenger and vehicle safety at all times, of course. Engine stop

is indicated by the rev counter needle in the AUTOSTOP position and the system

can be deactivated manually simply by pressing the ECO button.

* Vauxhall Lifetime Warranty covers lifetime ownership of first car owner. 100,000 mile limit, annual check required. The warranty excludes wear and tear and serviceable items and the vehicle must be serviced in accordance with the manufacturer’s servicing schedule to continue the lifetime warranty. Terms and conditions apply. Offer available to all Vauxhall passenger cars (this offer does not apply to car-derived vans) from 1st August 2010.

1. Roof base carrier with Thule roof box. If you’re into sports and like to make the

most of your time outdoors, even the Mokka’s ample interior and optional integrated

Flex-Fix® bike rack might not be enough to load all your outdoor gear. A kayak/

surfboard carrier or this sporty Thule roof box should take care of that.

2. Hard cargo tray. When you have lots of little items to load, this made-to-

measure tray is a must. High-edged, flexible and washable, the cargo tray also has a

non-skid surface to prevent loads from slipping – and help you keep the boot area

clean and tidy.

3. Cargo Organiser. This collapsible organiser stops items moving about on twisty

roads. It’s just one of several practical accessories available that let you easily load,

organise and unload your stuff.

4. Child seats. Vauxhall offers a full range of child seats for kids of all ages. The

DUO ISOFIX child seat can also be attached using the ISOFIX child seat restraint

fittings, standard on the outer rear seats.

EDSmarter driving tips• Drive at an appropriate speed: Staying

within the speed limit increases driver safety, reduces CO2 emissions and saves fuel. At 70mph you could be using up to 9% more fuel than at 60mph and up to 15% more fuel than at 50mph

• Drive smoothly at all times: Anticipate the ebb and flow of the traffic to avoid harsh acceleration and braking

• Reduce your revs: Change gear earlier to help reduce fuel consumption – try 2500rpm with petrol engines and 2000rpm with diesel

• Idling is wasting fuel: If you’re likely to be at a standstill for more than three minutes, switch off the engine to save fuel

• Regularly check your tyre pressures: Under inflated tyres increase CO2 emissions whilst incorrectly inflated

tyres can be unsafe. Always check your handbook for the correct tyre pressure. This will also help to increase the life of your tyres

• Remove unnecessary items from the car: Extra weight increases the engine’s workload, whilst roof racks and bike carriers increase wind resistance. All burn more fuel and increase CO2 emissions
