Sales Tips and Sharing

of Best Practices

• Chris & Dominick

• AND YOU!

Some tips for your unit

• Incorporate popcorn into your unit meetings - foster competition with boys, Dens and Patrols!

• Spend some money to make money – reward the boys from unit commissions!

• Support your scouts with sales tools and tips

• Publically recognize sellers! And be creative with incentives! Pie-in-the-face, etc.

• Use Blitzes and Show & Sells – easy money!

• Focus on units and effort, not dollars

25

Some tips for your unit (cont’d)

• Be transparent to parents and scouts on rewards and benefits…

• Product-in-hand works GREAT – one visit, payment up-front!

• Keep track of no-show’s, and go back later on.

• Remember that our customers aren't buying popcorn, they're supporting Scouting!

• Interesting motivation technique: keep going until you get 10 NO’s!

26

Scouts learn skills – and can

work on achievements!
