A forward, Hackenberg scored her first collegiate goal 2:12 into Friday’s Northeast Conference final rematch between Saint Francis U (5-6-1; 1-0) and LIU Brooklyn . In net, Collins made that goal standup for her first career shutout in only her second game in a Red Flash uniform .

Senior Barbara Maros de Carvalho added an insurance goal – her third of the campaign – in the 84th minute as Saint Francis claimed its NEC opener . Tesa McKibben assisted on both goals .

The Red Flash held a slim 13-to-9 advantage in shots but limited LIU (2-8-1; 0-1) to a mere two shots on goal in the contest . Meanwhile, Saint Francis peppered Blackbird keeper Jessica Sexton with 10 shots on goal – four of which came from McKibben .
