Monday, July 29
Mon., July 29 to Fri., Aug. 2: Historical boat tours of Port Hood and Henry Islands. Boat departs Government Wharf at 6:30 pm; tour approximately 1½ hours. Cost: $25 p/p; must be paid in advance. To book call the museum (787-2244).
6:30 pm: Outdoor Mass, St. Peter’s Parish Cemetery. In event of
inclement weather, mass will be inside St. Peter’s Church.

Golf Tournament. 8 am shot gun start. Location: Dundee Golf
Club. Cost: $90 p/p (includes BBQ steak dinner to follow at arena).

7 pm: Family Ceilidh, Chestico Princess Crowning, presentation

4 pm: Traditional Lobster Dinner, part of the 2013 Nova Scotia
Incredible Picnic series. Featuring local market-size lobsters,
homemade salads, rolls, cake, tea/coffee, Nova Scotia wines and
more. Bar service. Location: arena. Free hot dogs for children
when adult meal is purchased. Only $20 per meal -- Great value.

Monday, July 29
Mon., July 29 to Fri., Aug. 2: Historical boat tours of Port Hood and Henry Islands. Boat departs Government Wharf at 6:30 pm; tour approximately 1½ hours. Cost: $25 p/p; must be paid in advance. To book call the museum (787-2244).
6:30 pm: Outdoor Mass, St. Peter’s Parish Cemetery. In event of
inclement weather, mass will be inside St. Peter’s Church.

Golf Tournament. 8 am shot gun start. Location: Dundee Golf
Club. Cost: $90 p/p (includes BBQ steak dinner to follow at arena).

7 pm: Family Ceilidh, Chestico Princess Crowning, presentation
of Chestico Days Volunteer of the Year Award. Location: arena.

4 pm: Traditional Lobster Dinner, part of the 2013 Nova Scotia
Incredible Picnic series. Featuring local market-size lobsters,
homemade salads, rolls, cake, tea/coffee, Nova Scotia wines and
more. Bar service. Location: arena. Free hot dogs for children
when adult meal is purchased. Only $20 per meal -- Great value.

Monday, July 29
Mon., July 29 to Fri., Aug. 2: Historical boat tours of Port Hood and Henry Islands. Boat departs Government Wharf at 6:30 pm; tour approximately 1½ hours. Cost: $25 p/p; must be paid in advance. To book call the museum (787-2244).
6:30 pm: Outdoor Mass, St. Peter’s Parish Cemetery. In event of
inclement weather, mass will be inside St. Peter’s Church.
Tuesday, July 30
Golf Tournament. 8 am shot gun start. Location: Dundee Golf
Club. Cost: $90 p/p (includes BBQ steak dinner to follow at arena).

8 pm–10:00 pm: Youth Dance (Grades 6, 7 & 8). Location: arena

12 pm: Bikinis & Trunks Sand Sculpture Competition. Location:
Port Hood supervised beach below Court House. Prizes for 1st, 2nd and
3rd. Registration: noon; judging at 4 pm. BBQ. Sponsored by Bikinis
and Trucks Ice Cream Bar.
7 pm: Family Ceilidh, Chestico Princess Crowning, presentation
of Chestico Days Volunteer of the Year Award. Location: arena.
Light lunch served. Admission: $5 per person; under 12 free.
Thursday, August 1
4 pm: Traditional Lobster Dinner, part of the 2013 Nova Scotia
Incredible Picnic series. Featuring local market-size lobsters,
homemade salads, rolls, cake, tea/coffee, Nova Scotia wines and
more. Bar service. Location: arena. Free hot dogs for children
when adult meal is purchased. Only $20 per meal -- Great value.

7:30 pm: Ceilidh and Chestico Stone Builds Fortress Louisbourg
presentation. Location: Chestico Museum. Tea & light lunch served.

Fri. Aug. 2 to Sun. Aug. 4: Louisbourg-era costumed animators will demonstrate aspects of stone quarrying and masonry done at Port Hood for Fortress of Louisbourg. Location: former Port Hood school grounds through all three days.
2 pm: Children’s Event. Location: Arena. Admission: $3 p/p or
$10 per family.
2-4 pm: Entertainment & Hot Dog BBQ. Location: Port Hood Co-
op parking lot. Cost: hot dogs - $2; pop/water - $1.50. Sponsored by
Port Hood Co-op & Chestico Museum.
6 pm: Harness Racing. Location: Port Hood Race Track, Glencoe
Station Road. Beer Garden, entertainment, BBQ. Admission: $2 per
person. Bounce for Cash tickets: $5 each or 3 for $10; available at DF
Beaton Service Centre, Ceilidh Co-op or any KOC member.
10 pm - 1 am: Matt Andersen Adult Dance. Location: arena.
Admission: $20 for advance tickets; $25 at door. Advance tickets
available at arena office and offer fact-access entry on night of dance.
Government-issued ID required; 19 years of age+ only. ADMISSION
WILL BE CHARGED AT THE DOOR UNTIL THE END OF THE
DANCE. NOTE: there will *NOT* be a shuttle service this year

9 am: Alfred Reynolds Road Race & Junior Fun Run (all ages).
Registration: 8-9 am @ Port Hood Fire Hall. Fee: $10 for 8K; $3 for
ages 12 and under (2K).
9-11 am: Pancake Breakfast. Choice of ham or sausage.
Location: St. Stephen's Church Hall. Take-out available. Cost: Adult
$8, children $5. Sponsored by St. Stephen's-Jubilee United Church.
11 am: Street Parade.
12-3 pm: Firemen’s BBQ, arena grounds. Hot dogs, sausages, cold
drinks.
12pm – 4pm: Family Entertainment, games and activities:
5 Bounce-a-Ramas (100ft obstacle course bouncer, Disney Princess
bouncer, large slide, preschoolers-only bouncer and 5-in-1 bouncer),
cotton candy, sno cones, chocolate wheel, crown & anchor & much
more! Location: arena. Avoid line-ups by pre-purchasing tickets;
call arena for details.
