Welcome to Solario Racing… A New Breed of Racehorse Syndication formed in 2010 and based in Hertfordshire.

We have been delighted with the response during the fi rst three years and have made some exciting changes for our fourth season.

Solario Racing now has its horses in training with top fl at trainer, Dean Ivory in Radlett, Hertfordshire and leading dual purpose trainer,

Paul Webber at Cropredy, Oxon. Both trainers have private training establishments, boasting superb gallops and facilities for training thoroughbreds.

Racing Manager, Simon Double has again been busy at the sales and he purchased a chestnut yearling colt for £18,000 by Thewayyouare who was a Group One winner for top French trainer, André Fabre. He is very well related, from the family of Group one winners Vert Amande, Indian Rose and Groom Dancer who became a leading sire.

The horse is being syndicated in 1/12th shares for two seasons.Being a February foal, he was purchased with a view to running at two

but having the scope to train on at three.

We are also pleased to be off ering for the fi rst time a one season package in a 1/12th share syndicate horse. She is a 2yo fi lly by Amadeus Wolf, who was a high class

sprinter, winner of the Gimcrack and the Group One Middle Park Stakes. The dam was a dual winner for the late Sir Henry Cecil and has produced seven

winners from eight runners. This fi lly is from a beautifully bred family which includes Pursuit Of Love, Champion 3yo sprinter in Europe.

Solario Racing off ers quality bloodstock, excellent communication and superb hospitality….personal and professional racehorse syndication at an aff ordable price.

Finally, thank you to our advertisers for their support and we wish their respective businesses every success.

DEAN IVORY Dean took over the training licence from his father, Ken Ivory in 2002

and the winners have continued to fl ow from Harper Lodge Farm ever since. He has already trained over 270 winners in only 12 seasons.

The 120-acre private training establishment has stabling for 40 horses and superb facilities for training the modern thoroughbred. The gallop is a mile all-weather polytrack

and horses can work in either direction, left or right handed.

Other training facilities include a railed furlong round all-weather trotting ring, a manège, an undercover horse walker and plenty of turn-out paddocks with shelter. One of the latest

additions is an equine spa which is great for cooling down the horses’ legs, particularly after racing.

Dean has a quiet but confi dent and considered approach in both training the horses and communicating with his owners. Dean started off as an owner before turning to training,

so he knows the importance of communication. “Relationships with owners are important to me because as an owner, I learnt that this personal liaison makes so much diff erence.”

The Master of Harper Lodge Farm is hungry for winners and 2013 was a record year in terms of prize money and winners. At the time of this publication, he had recorded

33 wins from just 38 horses and achieved over £1/4 million in prize money.

RACING MANAGER, SIMON DOUBLESimon has a wealth of experience in the racing industry having been

managing successful racing syndicates since 1994.

He cut his teeth with partnership pioneer, Peter Harris, after which he co-founded Pat Eddery Racing. After over six years with the former 11-times Champion Jockey,

he successfully launched Harwoods Racing Club before setting up Solario Racing in 2010.

He has been associated with purchasing many good horses at the sales, including multiple winners, Arachnophobia, Hidden Glory, Desert Recluse and Group One winner, Hearts Of Fire.

Bought for just £13,000 in 2008, Hearts Of Fire won the Brocklesby and went on to win at Listed, Group 3 and Group 1 level in France, Germany and Italy respectively. Third at Royal Ascot in the Group One St James’ Palace as a 3yo, he won over £300,000 in prize money for his

syndicate owners and was sold for £577,500 at Newmarket’s prestigious Horses in Training Sale in October 2010, the second highest ever fi gure at that sale.

PAUL WEBBER Paul holds a dual purpose licence at Cropredy Lawn, a fabulous 200-acre private training

establishment near Banbury in Oxfordshire. He took over from his father in 1995 and he has developed some of the best state-of-the-art facilities in the country.

They include a seven furlong oval grass gallop, a six and a half furlong all-weather surface, an indoor school, jumping lane, equine pool and a water walk, which comprises

a natural stream for the horses to walk through after morning exercise.

He is fast heading towards 500 wins and horses such as the exciting Australia Day have won on the fl at and over hurdles and fences. “While most of my winners have been over the jumps including victories at Aintree, I’ve yet to have a Cheltenham Festival winner but have had two

winners at Royal Ascot!” remarked the Master of Cropredy Lawn.

“I am delighted to be training the exciting Red Cossack for Solario Racing.”

HOSPITALITY Looking after owners both on and off the racecourse is part of the Solario Racing philosophy.

Therefore, we regularly arrange not only hospitality days for our owners at the stables but days out at some of the major domestic race meetings such as Ascot, Goodwood

and Newbury or abroad at Deauville or Longchamp.

These days at the races will be organised specifi cally for our owners and their friends. We will arrange everything from private boxes, badges and light buff ets to champagne

receptions, four course lunches and celebrity racing tipsters.

We know that many owners have wide-ranging sporting and cultural interests, so we will be arranging days out which go beyond horse racing. So, whether it’s a round of golf

at Hanbury Manor, a leisurely day’s Test cricket at Lord’s or an evening of fi ne dining…we will arrange and organise a calendar of events to suit all tastes.

Each event will be personally supervised by members of Solario Racing who will be there to ensure you truly have a day or night to remember.Cropredy Lawn, Cropredy, Banbury, Oxon OX17 1DR
