ZINFANDEL WEEKENDDuring Paso Robles Zinfandel Weekend, producers and enthusiasts come together in celebration of everything that Zinfandel adds to your palate and your experience. Enjoy a Zin-filled weekend with activities including winemaker dinners, exclusive Zinfandel tastings, winery and vineyard tours and so much more!

WINE FESTIVALTake part in the Annual Paso Robles Wine Festival, one of the largest outdoor wine festivals in California. Held the third full weekend in May, the Paso Robles Wine Festival brings together more than 60 wineries to showcase all that Paso Robles Wine Country has to offer. In addition to the tasting held in Downtown Paso Robles, wineries will be hosting activities at their individual locations.

hARVEST WINE WEEKENDPaso Robles Wine Country Harvest Wine Weekend celebrates the annual wine grape harvest. This weekend is the perfect time to visit wineries to learn about their harvest practices, try new vintages and see what happens when wine country kicks it into high gear for harvest. Every year, on the third weekend in October, wineries plan events to give you a taste of harvest and to celebrate the new vintage.

WINE COUNTRY AUCTIONThe world-renowned wineries of Paso Robles Wine Country join together to create a spectacular online auction. The online auction will feature a range of sought-after lifestyle and wine country items including signed large format bottles, exclusive Paso Robles wine country getaways and much more! The Paso Robles Wine Country Auction is an opportunity to raise funds to support local community organizations. The profits from the event each year are gifted to local charities that support health care, education, and greater community service.

In order to make the most of your perfect Paso Robles Wine Country getaway it is important that you plan ahead. While spontaneity is encouraged, below are a few tips and tricks to help you plan your next visit to Paso Robles.

Purchase event tickets two months in advance at pasowine.com.

Plan your itinerary for the weekend. Wineries host various special events. Be sure to book your selected activities in advance.

BOOK LODGING ACCOMMODATIONS IN ADVANCE – This is important, especially when you are planning for a three-day weekend or an event weekend, as hotels, motels, guest cottages, inns and Bed & Breakfasts fill up fast.

PLAN FOR ThE WEAThER – Paso Robles often experiences warm days and cool nights during the months of May – October. Beginning in November, the weather will begin to cool down and much-needed rain will begin to fall and nourish the vines. Remember that barrel rooms and cellars are temperature controlled, so bring a sweater even in mid July!

hYDRATE YOURSELF – Drink plenty of water! You will be doing a lot of walking and the weather can be quite warm, especially in the summer months.

MAKE AN APPOINTMENT FOR A TOUR – Call 24 – 48 hours in advance to set up a special tour and tasting. This will make your visit unforgettable! Most wineries, vineyards and tasting rooms will accommodate you and this is highly recommended when you have groups of seven or more.

TASTE ThE TOWN – Be sure to complement the wine you taste by visiting one of the many restaurants and specialty shops found in this brochure. Tantalize your taste buds with dinner, hors d’oeuvres, dessert, or take home specialty items to share with your family and friends.

TRANSPORTATION – Always remember to designate a driver or plan for tour transportation, limousine or a taxi to take you through Paso Robles Wine Country.

REMEMBER ThE 4 S’S OF RESPONSIBLE TASTING – Swirl, Smell, Sip and Spit. This method is a great way to sample a lot of different wines.
