• Relating one web part to another (Daisy Chain) Relationships and Views work together to allow content to be shown to who should be seeing it at the time they need to see it.

OBJECTIVE: SHOW HOW SHARED CALENDARS ARE USED.

• Allows you to create a shared calendar for any content type or entity

• Hooks into outlook and overlay

Shared Calendars created in SharePoint, used in Microsoft Office

WORKFLOWS, EVENT RECEIVERS, AND TIMED SERVICES

OBJECTIVE: REVIEW DEFINITION OF AND WHEN WORKFLOWS, EVENT RECEIVERS AND TIMED SERVICES ARE USED.

• Workflows

– SharePoint out of box – SharePoint Designer – Visual Studio – Trigger when Update or Create an Item – Users can manually start

• Event Receivers

– Only Visual Studio – Can trigger when update, create, or delete, before or after or during the event. – Users cannot manually start

– Can be scheduled to happen in SP
