Survey of Los Angeles ResidentsThe Survey of Los Angeles Residents was conducted from February 22-March 3, 2016. A telephone sample of 2,004 adults ages 18 and older residing in Los Angeles responded to 28 questions. The telephone interviews were conducted by landline (1,035) and cell phone (969) in English (1,787) and Spanish (217), according to the preference of the respondent. The margin of sampling error for the survey was +/- 2 percentage points.Dr. Craig Uchida of Justice & Security Strategies, Inc. oversaw the project and worked closely with the Los Angeles Police Department and Hart Research Associates to create the survey questions and administer the survey.
79% of residents agree or strongly agree that Officers treat residents in
a fair and courteous manner.
84% of residents agree or strongly agree that LAPD Officers conduct themselves
in a Professional Manner.
