Collie Agricultural Society Inc. President’s Message
Welcome to the Collie Agricultural Society Show for 2014. 2014 is shaping up to be one of our best shows with some very well known acts appearing. Josh and Andi from M.K.R, Sabrina Hahan (A.B.C.), Scitech Science Shows and Peppa and George Pig will all make appearances. Local dancing, gymnastic and modelling groups will also perform. Collie Community Radio will again broadcast live and assist with promoting our show. Thank you to our major sponsors;

Collie Agricultural Society Regulations
The regulations and by-laws of The Royal Agricultural Society of Western Australia shall apply to this show except where otherwise stated
1. Every exhibit, except livestock, must be grown by, or the work of, the exhibitor (unless otherwise stated) and any exhibitor may be called upon to make an affidavit to that effect. All livestock must be the property of the exhibitor.
2. ENTRY FEES: Entry fees as published in this schedule must be prepaid and accompanied by The Society’s printed entry form or facsimile of the same, to The Society’s office by the date noted in each section. Exhibits not fully paid will be accepted for display only.
3. All entries are received subject to these show regulations and by-laws under the Royal
Agricultural Society’s Act, 1926.
4. The Committee may at any time disqualify from exhibiting, either indefinitely or for any period it may think fit, any exhibitor who has, in the opinion of The Committee, been guilty of any breach of these regulations, or whose conduct, whether at or during any show of The Society, has in the opinion of The Committee, been such that he or she is unfit to exhibit at any show of The Society.
5. No person who has been disqualified from exhibiting at any show of the Royal Agricultural
Society of Western Australia Incorporated, or at any show of any society affiliated therewith, shall during the period of disqualification be allowed to act as an agent, representative, or servant of any exhibitor at any show of The Society.
6. The judges may withhold prizes for such exhibits they deem unworthy.
7. NO APPEAL AGAINST THE DECISION OF THE JUDGES will be entertained unless made
in writing before 4 pm on the day of the show and a deposit of $10.00 made which will be forfeited if The Committee considers same to be frivolous. Stewards are to be made aware of the fact at the time. All appeals to be heard and decided on the day of show.
8. GROUND SPACE: All applications for ground space must be lodged 21 days before date of
show on special application forms from The Society. Electricity and ground site charges on application. LATE APPLICATIONS SUBJECT TO AVAILABLE SPACE AND DISCRETION OF GROUNDS COMMITTEE.
9 Any article considered offensive by any three (3) members of The Society’s Committee must be
withdrawn from public display and sale. 10 EXHIBITS TO BE PICKED UP by 6pm Monday 17th November 2014 unless alternative
arrangement is made with The Society. Items not collected will be disposed of at The Society’s discresion.
11 Any person using obscene language or creating a nuisance may be ordered from the grounds. 12 All persons, other than financial members and those issued with a complimentary pass, must
pay to enter the gate during the show, whether being an exhibitor or not.
13 PAYMENT OF PRIZE MONEY from 9am on Saturday. Prize money and trophies may be forwarded only on application. Prize monies not collected by 6pm Monday 17th November 2014 will be forfeited to the society.
14 Vet certificate to be shown for refund of entry where applicable.

EXHIBITION HALL REGULATIONS

1. Attention of Exhibitors is drawn to The Collie Agricultural Society’s Regulations.
2. All ENTRY FORMS, with payment will be accepted at the showground pavilion from Monday
10th November 2014, and must be received by 7 pm Wednesday 12th November 2014. Entries may be lodged at any time prior to these dates by mail, email or at the show office mailbox. Such entries not fully paid by 7pm Wednesday 12th November will be accepted for display only and not eligible for judging.
3. All EXHIBITS, with Society’s number attached, to be delivered to the Exhibition Hall by 7pm.
Wednesday 12th November 2014. Exceptions are fresh produce, flowers and cooking, which may be delivered between 8.00am and 10am Friday 14
th 2014. Judging at noon
Friday 14th.
4. Exhibits may be removed from the Exhibition Hall from 9am Sunday 16th November 2014, or on Monday 17th November from 8am to 6pm. After this time they are not the responsibility of the Society. EXHIBITORS WILL NOT BE PERMITTED INTO THE HALL UNACCOMPANIED TO COLLECT THEIR EXHIBITS.
5. All work must be that of the exhibitor.
6. The Exhibition Hall will be open from 9.00 am to 8.00 pm Saturday 15th November.
7. No single item may be entered in any two (2) Sections/Classes.
8. All prizes will be awarded at the Judge’s discretion.
9. Points will be awarded as follows (unless otherwise stated); 2 points for 1st, 1 point for 2nd. In
the event of a tie for a trophy, the exhibitor with the most first points will be awarded the trophy.
10. Any article having won a prize at a previous Collie Show is not eligible for entry.
11. All reasonable care will be taken of exhibits but no responsibility will be accepted by the
Society.
12. Refer to individual Sections for any specific information
13. Any Article on display may be sold with 10% of proceeds going to the Society. The Society’s “For Sale” tickets are available from Chief Stewards and are to be placed on items for sale after judging. This must be organised with the Chief Steward when exhibit is delivered.

All competitors are required to pay a ground fee of $9, this allows access for one (1) adult in a vehicle towing a horse float.
Vehicle access available
Noon – 7pm Friday 14th November and from 6am Saturday 15th November.
Gate pass for every person must be presented on entry or normal entry fee applies.
Additional persons will need to pay entry at the gate.

• Entries and payments must be received at the Collie Agricultural Society Office by 4pm on Wednesday 12th November 2014. Name of horse, exhibitor and rider MUST be included on entry form.
• Nominations will not be accepted on the day.
• Copies of horse registration are required with entry forms.
• All horses/ponies must be registered with their breed societies and copies of certificates must accompany all entries or they will not be accepted. Certificates must be available on Show Day. Thoroughbreds and Standardbreds are exempt.
• Partbreds are not permitted to enter Purebred or Stud Book Classes.
• Stallions and colts must be shown in suitable headgear with their green disks and handlers must be 18 years of age or older on the day of the event. Please provide proof of age.
• When not competing Stallions are to be safely restrained. NO EXCEPTIONS.
• Judging commences at 8.30am sharp. Classes will not be held up for any reason. The Society may change the order of judging at its discretion.
• In line with the South West Group of Affiliated Society’s resolution, all competitors and exhibitors must pay at entrance gate.
• All competitors are required to pay a ground fee of $9 to cover access for one (1) adult and vehicle towing horse float. Additional persons must pay at the gate. Camping is available at $10 per night; stabling fee $5 per day per horse. Stables are first in best dressed.
• Name of horse, exhibitor and rider MUST be included on entry form.
• Exhibitors entered in more than one section must elect in which class they will compete in.
• PROTESTS: Must be lodged in writing within 10 minutes of the completion of the event accompanied by a fee of $50 which will be refunded if the protest is upheld.
• Horse and handler/rider must compete in the correct age class based on your age and the horse’s age on the day of the event.

Class Description
121 Horse and handler that have never won an open class at a CCHS WA event. Horse must be driven in long lines, harness optional. Handler never to have won an open event at a working show. Judged on handler and horse.
122 Open Driven Horse Horse driven in long lines. Judged on handler and horse.
123 Obstacle Event Horse driven on long lines. Horse must be driven in long reigns, harness optional.
124 Log Pull Horse must be driven in long lines, harness optional. Driven horse pulling log in straight line 30 metres as walking a furrow, turn and come back, turn through poles or cones at each end. This event is a prelude to the log snig and is designed for beginners.
125 Log Snig. Horse driven in long lines on designated course. Horse must be driven in long reigns, harness optional.
126 Open Turn Out Any combination of Single, Pair or Tandem in any Vehicle. Horse must wear winkers/ bit due to insurance contract.
127 Open Ridden heavy horse, ridden hack and part of obstacle course

Definition of Top Score: Each jump is given a score EG jump 1-10 points, jump 2-20 points, jump 3-30 points etcetera. Riders have 60 seconds. They may jump any jump in any order and in any direction. The aim is to achieve the highest score possible in the time limit. Heights will vary so riders can jump to their ability.
