• It was built using textile-reinforced concrete (TRC)
for the superstructure, it is a frost-resistant structure
• Combination of TRC with unbonded prestressing
allows for an ultra slender superstructure with
economical and ecological advantages
• The concrete mass was reduced by 40% compared
to ordinary steel-reinforced bridges
• Due to dense characteristic of the concrete, this
bridge was constructed without any bitumen
surfacing (minimal maintenance required)

• New bridge design method used for construction, that
of unlimited durability
• Non-prestressed reinforcing steel is not included in the
bridge superstructure, hence not susceptible to
corrosion and no need for waterproofing of the deck
• It had economic advantages during construction and
savings in operation and maintenance
• It indicates that sustainability and durability concepts of
bridge building can be applied to small and medium
sized bridges
