ADMINISTRATION

PresidentDr. James Edwards is the fourth president of

Anderson University. As President, he provides leadership to the university’s faculty and staff members, who serve more than 2,900 students.

Edwards earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1965 and his Master of Divinity degree in 1970, both from Anderson University. He completed his Doctor of Philosophy degree from Ohio State University in 1987.

Edwards previously served as Director of Student Recruitment and Director of Church and Alumni Relations at Anderson University. He was senior pastor

at Meadow Park Church of God in Columbus, Ohio, for 14 years. Prior to his presidency at AU, Edwards served one year as CEO of Warner Press.

Athletic DirectorMarcie Taylor is in her seventh year as the Athletic

Director at Anderson University.Taylor is in her 25th year overall at Anderson, and is

currently the head women’s basketball coach. Before taking over the AD position, Taylor was the Associate Athletic Director.

Taylor was a guard on the Lady Ravens from 1980-84 and graduated in 1984 with a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education/Physical Education and a minor in Biology. She earned a master’s degree in Exercise Physiology from Ball State in 1988.

Taylor spent one year as an assistant coach at AU before taking over the program in 1991.

The 2014 season marks Fridley’s 24th year with the program and the 21st as head coach at Anderson University.

Fridley’s men’s teams have won two

regular season HCAC Championships (2000, 2004) and two HCAC Tournament championships (2000, 2002). The Ravens made five straight appearances in the HCAC Tournament final from 1998-2002, and again made the finals in 2005, 2010, and 2012.

Fridley’s players have been named HCAC 1st or 2nd Team All-Conference 73 times, and he has coached three HCAC Most Valuable Players.

Under Fridley, the Ravens have been named to the NSCAA National Academic Team in 16 of the last 17 seasons, and have won the NSCAA National Ethics Award five times. In 2000, Fridley led the team to a school-best 13-8 record and the school’s first regular season and post- season HCAC conference championship. That squad also garnered a No. 10 ranking in the region.

A four-year starter in net for AU, Fridley still holds many of the university’s goalkeep-ing records. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Business from AU in 1991. He minored in Christian Ministries.
