2014 PETITE SIRAH
We sourced the fruit for our 2014 Petite Sirah from Sándor Vineyards in Cochise County, Arizona. The fruit
that went into this wine was brought into the winery on September 2nd, 2014, at just over 25° Brix. It was
immediately inoculated with D21 yeast, and fermented over six days. After fermentation it was barreled
down and stayed in barrel until July 6th, 2016 when it was bottled.
Our 2014 Petite Sirah is a Silver Medal Winner for the 2017 Fingerlakes International Wine Competition
and a Bronze Medal Winner in the 2017 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition. This wine is a deep
purple hued wine with aromas of fresh plums, cassis, and blackberry bolstered by vanilla and heavily
toasted oak. The flavor hits you upfront with fresh berries before giving way to a long finish of vanilla and
espresso. This wine pairs well with grilled Venison as well as roasted beef or pork tenderloin in a cream
sauce. Dry, strong cheeses pair well as it helps soften the tannins and brings out the fruitiness of the wine.
