And when Elizabeth heard the greetingof Mary, the babe leapt in her womb;and Elizabeth was filled with theHoly Spirit and she exclaimed with aloud cry: Blessed art Thou amongwomen, and Blessed is the Fruit ofThy Womb!

And why is this granted to me, thatthe Mother of my Lord should cometo me?

For behold, when the voice of Thygreeting came to my ears, the babe in

my womb leapt for Joy.And Blessed is She who believed, for

there would be a Fulfilment of whatwas spoken to Her from the Lord.

And Mary said: My soul Magnifies theLord, and my spirit Rejoices in Godmy Saviour, for He has regarded thelowly estate of His Handmaiden.

For behold henceforth all generationswill call me Blessed; for He Who isMighty has done Great Things forme, and Holy is His Name!

And Mary remained with her aboutthree months, and returned to her

home.
