Soapstone Ridge District Boy Scouts of America serves the southern half of DeKalb county, which includes the cities of Atlanta, Avondale Estates, Clarkston, Conley, Decatur, Lithonia, Scottsdale, and Stone Mountain through 38 community partnerships with local churches and organizations making up a total of 60 Cub Scout packs, Boy Scout troops, and Venturing crews (co-ed).
Year-at-a-Glance
Mr. C. David Moody, Jr. founded C.D. Moody Construction Company Inc. in 1988 and serves as its Chief Executive Officer and President. Mr. Moody serves as the President of the National Association of Minority Contractors (Atlanta Chapter). Mr. Moody has an extensive business experience and specifically experience in the construction industry. He has been a Director at Citizens Bancshares Corporation since 2000, The Atlanta Opera Inc., since November 29, 2011 and Citizens Trust Bank since 2000. He serves as a Director at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, Morehouse College Business School, Atlanta Business League, the Wesley Woods at Emory, The Atlanta Chamber of Commerce and National Association of Minority Contractors and is active in many civic causes throughout DeKalb County. He served as a Director of First Southern Bancshares and its subsidiary, First Southern Bank. He served as a Director of Theragenics Corp. from November 12, 2007 to October 29, 2013.
