Section D:Answer all questions. 1 An experiment is carried out to investigate the effect of enzyme concentration on the rate

of enzyme reaction.

Table 1 shows the preparation of the amylase enzyme concentration and the volume of starch suspensions.

All the test tubes are immersed in the water bath set at 37°C .2 drops of iodine solution are placed in each groove on a white tile.4 ml of 1% starch suspension is added to test tube A and the stopwatch is started immediately.

Step 4: Every one minute, a small amount of the mixture is removed from test tube A and tested with iodine solution on the tile.

Step 5: Record the time taken when the mixture no longer changes the colour of iodine based on figure 1.

Step 6: Steps 2-5 are repeated with the contents of test tube B, C, D, E and F.
