ince its inception, the Firestone Master Contractor program has recognized outstanding contractors who have been responsible for the installation of billions of square feet of warranted Firestone Roofing Systems.

For the 2017 Master Contractor Program, Firestone Building Products will recognize top companies committed to quality installations of Firestone products for roofing systems and the building envelope.

High quality workmanship and a commitment to long-term roofing system performance are the attributes of a Firestone Master Contractor. This annual award recognizes the owners of Firestone's top achieving contractor firms in North America and Latin America who meet Firestone's criteria for determining the best of the best.

Our 2017 event will be held at the Grand Wailea Resort in Wailea, Hawaii. The event is all-inclusive for each Master Contractor and spouse, with transportation, lodging, meals, entertainment and excursions provided by Firestone.

THE PROGRAMur top Contractors qualify for membership in the Master Contractor Program, the longest running and most desirable recognition in the commercial roofing industry. This year, members will earn one of the following designations:

Master Contractor SilverThis highly regarded group has mastered quality commercial roofing solutions while driving significant Firestone business. These contractors exemplify the hard work, determination and entrepreneurial leadership that define Firestone Building Products.

Master Contractor GoldThe top 25 members will be promoted to the elite Master Contractor Gold status for their demonstrated shared vision and loyalty to the Firestone brand.

Master Contractor PlatinumThe top 25 members who show long-term alignment (2 consecutive years) with the Firestone Building Products strategic vision earn the most esteemed designation in the commercial roofing industry: Master Contractor Platinum.

Rewards - In addition to the acclaimed Firestone Master Contractor designation, members will receive the following benefits based on their level:

HOW IT WORKSirestone will award Master Contractor status to the top roofing contractors who accumulate the most quality points during the year. All Firestone Red Shield™ licensed contractors are automatically eligible for the Master Contractor program. Throughout the year, contractors earn quality points for the installation of Firestone RubberGard™

EPDM, UltraPly™

TPO, Asphalt and Metal

Roofing Systems that are inspected and warranted by November 4, 2016. Only Red Shield warranted jobs, as stated in the 2016 Firestone Building Products Warranty Guide, are eligible to earn quality points. Those Firestone applicators who earn 2017 Master Contractor status will be notified by letter in November 2016.

� Program Qualifications - A contractor must complete a minimum of eight (8) Red Shield warranted jobs annually and be in good financial standing with Firestone to be eligible for Master Contractor status. In addition, to qualify for Master Contractor status in 2017, it requires a Quality Incidence Rating (QIR) that does not exceed 2.5 times the average QIR for Red Shield Contractors. QIR is determined by the annual number of quality incidents per million square feet of roofing under warranty. Current QIR status can be viewed on each licensed contractor’s password protected site at firestonebpco.com.

� Qualifications for Recognition Levels - Firestone values both contractor success and loyalty. Firestone’s share of members’ commercial roofing business will be a component in determining eligibility for our most elite designations and rewards: Master Contractor Gold and Master Contractor Platinum. Additional information is available through your Firestone Sales Representative and at firestonebpco.com.

� Point Structure - Total Master Contractor points will be calculated as demonstrated in the chart and example below. Using this formula, contractors can earn a maximum 12 points per square foot for warranted projects and 1 point per square foot for discretionary insulation.

� Growth Points - Contractors who increase their total Red Shield warranted square footage by 10% or more over the previous year will be awarded a year-end Master Contractor point bonus of 20% of their 2016 Master Contractor base points.

� Discretionary ISO - In order to reward our contractors who choose to use Firestone brand polyiso products in non-warranted roofing assemblies, or under a competitor’s material, Firestone has extended the Master Contractor program to include these transactions. Firestone will award one quality point per square foot of Firestone ISO used in these installations.

or 2017, Firestone will recognize two categories of quality contractors – Partner in Quality and Inner Circle of Quality. The rating system to achieve these designations is based on

each company’s annual Quality Incidence Rating (QIR). The QIR measure is computed using the total number of warrantable repair incidents occurring on Firestone roofs divided into the total square footage of Firestone roofs under warranty:

The QIR is calculated for all Firestone contractors who have installed at least 1 million square feet of Firestone roofs currently under warranty, and Firestone will recognize those contractors who achieve the highest levels of roofing quality in 2016.

The following awards will be presented to Firestone contractors who meet the QIR criteria for the year ending prior to the award:

Partner in Quality1. Install at least 8 warranted roofs in 2014, 2015 and

2016, and 4 warranted roofs per year for each of the 3 prior years

2. Maintain at least 1 million square feet under warranty3. Achieve an annual QIR of 1.0 or less

Contractors who earn this quality level will be recognized with a commemorative plaque, along with local press coverage provided by the Firestone public relations agency.

Inner Circle of Quality:1. Install at least 8 warranted roofs in 2014, 2015 and

2016, and 4 warranted roofs per year for each of the 3 prior years

2. Maintain at least 2 million square feet under warranty3. Achieve an annual QIR of 1.0 or less4. Achieve Master Contractor status

Contractors who earn the Inner Circle of Quality Award will receive extensive regional and local publicity promoting the achievement.

QUALITY RECOGNITION BONUS (Award based on current year is applied to following year.)

� Contractors who are named 2016 Partner in Quality Award winners will be awarded a Master Contractor Point Bonus of 15% of their Master Contractor base points.

� Contractors who are now 2016 Inner Circle of Quality Award winners will be awarded a Master Contractor Point Bonus of 15% of their Master Contractor base points.
