The wedge-shaped, fully welded cutterbar produces perfect cuts even in the most difficult conditions. The discs do not extend beyond the cutterbar for maximum protection. The large double disc drive bearings withstand peak loads and provide more protection.

The SafeCut disc protection system is standard specification on EasyCut mowers. If the disc hits an obstacle, the roll pin shears and the disc spins up on the threaded drive shaft and out of the way of its neighboring discs, which continue spinning without damage.

The high capacity CV mower conditioner with steel V-tines conditions the crop uniformly across the full working width to promote wilting, reduce field traffic and produce top quality forage. The conditioner rotor with pivoting steel V-tines has a large diameter of 2.2”.

The available full width CRi rollers ensure uniform conditioning across the entire working width. models that feature up to six rotors. This range of side and center delivery

rakes covers working widths from 12’5” to 62’4” to meet all farming

requirements. Krone Swadro rotary rakes feature technology to deliver

excellent outputs and a superior quality of work with durable tine arms,

gearboxes and overall construction.

Krone’s Fortima V 1500 and V 1800 models produce 4’ x 3.25’ to 4’ x 6’ bales. Smaller bale sizes

are often preferred in grass silage while larger diameter bales are preferred in hay and straw. The

variable chamber allows producers the flexibility to adjust the bale size depending on the crop.

Whether you are baling dry hay, baleage or both, the Fortima is the round baler for you.

The Elevator: Running on massive guide and tensioning rollers, the two endless elevators form uniform and dense bales. The elevator meshes with the bale, turning it without stopping — even when working in short and dry crops.


The Comprima round baler features the camless EasyFlow pick-up and the NovoGrip elevator. The

NovoGrip belt is made with a combination of fabric and rubber layers. Two belts on each side of the

baler are connected with metal slats. This system leads to a dramatic increase in bale density and

throughputs, while providing reduced wear and maintenance.

The Comprima F 155 is the only round baler on the market that operates on the fixed chamber principle, while producing bales of 39”-60” in diameter. Combining the functions of both fixed and variable chambers, the semi-variable chamber is a unique system. The simple system allows you to change the bale size with fewer chains and moving parts. Krone CombiPack™ was introduced to the market in 1996. This baler wrapper proved profitable as it

freed one tractor in the harvest chain, which normally operated the wrapper. The newest in the line of

baler/wrapper combinations from Krone is the Comprima CF and CV models. These balers boast the

same bale making power as the Comprima round baler with a fully automatic system for wrapping.

Krone has a comprehensive range of large square balers that offer various chamber dimensions. The

Krone BiG Pack models owe their success to innovations such as the unique MultiBale system, the

High Density Press (HDP) and the camless EasyFlow pick-up.

• The X-Cut knife sytem features a pull out knife bed for easy-to-change knives and chop length

selection.

• Camless EasyFlow pick-up has fewer parts, decreasing wear and increasing throughputs.

• BiG Pack 1270: MultiBale packs nine small bales into one large bale. The large bales can be cleared

quickly from the field and stacked, and the small bales can be easily handled at time of use.

increase in bale weight by up to 25% percent over traditional systems.

MaxFlow inside: The cut and feed rotor with wide feeding plates are made from hardened steel to enhance the crop flow, while keeping input power low.

The VFS from Krone produces rock solid, well-shaped bales, no matter the condition. This system operates with four packer rakes and one feeder rake, as well as a retainer. It feeds the material into the pre-compression chamber where it builds a flake. After this pre-compression chamber is packed with material, the feeder rake feeds the material into the baling chamber.

High density bales are achieved with Krone’s BiG Pack 1290 HDP. Featuring an extra long bale chamber, this baler delivers a new dimension of bale density. Bales produced by the HDP baler are up to 25% heavier than 3x4 bales from a standard large square baler.

All Krone BiG Packs are HighSpeed large square balers, which deliver up to 20% more throughput. This increase has been made feasible by two major modifications: an increase in throughput capacity of the VFS packer system and an increased number of plunger strokes.


With the BiG Pack 1290 HDP II, achieve up to 70% higher throughputs and 10% higher bale density

over the existing BiG Pack HDP. To hold these higher density bales, a patented eight double-knotter

system was developed specifically for this baler. Pre-compressing the crop inside the feed chamber

maximizes bale chamber efficiency.

A. Perfect Knots All The TimeHolding extremely dense and well-shaped bales that are produced at high ground speeds is a challenge for the twine, especially when the crop has a high tendency to expand. Therefore, Krone developed a new, patented knotter system specifically for the BiG Pack 1290 HDP II. This system is made of eight slim double knotters so the individual strands of twine are exposed to minimum pull and can hold denser bales.

B. Boosting PTO SpeedThe new intermediate gearbox on the drawbar boosts the PTO speed to 1,180 rpm, maximizing the utilization of the flywheels inertia, as well as the overall baler performance.

C. Twine BoxesThe twine boxes fold hydraulically from the covenience of the cab for easy refill and access to service points. Each twine box on either side of the machine holds 27 balls of twine — holding enough twine to make it through long working days and make more than 800 bales without ever getting off the tractor.

The SafeCut disc protection system from Krone offers effective protection and peace of mind. Rather than transferring the shock load of the impact to the cutterbar, the system transfers the load to a roll pin, which shears as a result of the impact. Forage Harvesters BiG X SELF-PROPELLED FORAGE HARVESTER

VariStream: Achieving highest throughputs and a superior quality of chop requires innovative features such as six hydraulic pre-compression rollers, a massive chopping cylinder and the VariStream crop flow system. Consisting of a spring-loaded floor beneath the chopping cylinder and a spring-loaded plate behind the crop accelerator, VariStream ensures blockage free and smooth operation, even when the flow of crop is not uniform.

Cutting 8, 10, 12 or 14 rows, the EasyCollect corn heads feature an intake system with endless collectors that feed the crop stem first to the chopping assembly. The EasyCollect corn heads make consistent chop lengths and require less horsepower to operate. Krone quality of chop starts at the head.

The camless pick-up on the EasyFlow 380 hay head increases throughput by up to 30%. Six rows of tines with a spacing of 2.2” ensures the crop is picked up cleanly, no matter the condition.

The PowerSplit technology adapts the engine output automatically to the current harvest conditions. Eco Power is used in situations that do not require full engine power, whereas X Power delivers the engine’s maximum speed to succeed in difficult conditions. This technology allows for full flexibilty and fuel economy.
