ProcessThe goal of the Course Selection Guide Audit is to ensure alignment of course offerings with the Profile of a Graduate philosophy, HB5 Endorsements, and provides the most effective pathways for NISD students (NISD Superintendent Priority Goal 1)

The Course Guide Audit identified CTE Pathways needing additional opportunities. As a result, we are recommending the following CTE additions and deletions for the 2016-2017 Course Guide:
New Courses to strengthen CTE Pathways
• Advanced Animal Science (CTE and Science) provides a 4th year Science opportunity in the Agriculture Pathway.
• Advanced Interior Design provides a coherent sequence for Interior Design.
• Practicum in Architectural Design provides a coherent sequence for Architectural Design.
Dropped CTE Courses to strengthen CTE Pathways
• Interpersonal Studies not effectively aligned with a coherent pathway or certification opportunity.
Enhanced CTE Pathway for STEM Engineering Pathway
• Concepts of Engineering and Technology (Formerly Intro course for STEM Academy)• Engineering Design and Problem Solving
