Public Broadband Computer Center
The center is equipped with computers utilizing high-speed Internet and is open for members of the community to use free of charge (hours are subject to change):
• Monday: 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and 1:30-7:30 p.m.
• Tuesday: 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and 1:30-7:30 p.m.
• Wednesday: 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and 1:30-7:30 p.m.
• Thursday: 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and 1:30-7:30 p.m.
• Friday: 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and 1:30-5 p.m.
• Saturday: 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
• Sunday: Closed
Free classes are offered on various weekdays from 5:45-7 p.m. and Saturdays from 10:15 a.m.-noon covering topics like basic Internet and email usage, computer basics, Microsoft Word, creating or writing a résumé, letter writing and more. You do not have to pre-register.

Continuing Education Courses

A variety of courses and classes are offered at this TTC site including Phlebotomy, Certified Nurse Aide, Welding, Kids’ College and Teen University summer camps and much more.
Testing
Trident Technical College St. Paul’s Parish Site offers COMPASS testing. The COMPASS test is the placement test that Trident Technical College utilizes for entrance into the college. By appointment only; call 843.323.3800 for more information and to reserve your seat.
Financial Assistance
Trident Technical College and its funding partners offer various financial aid and scholarship options for students.
For Continuing Education Classes• You may be eligible to receive federal funding

• Trident Technical College’s Division of Continuing Education and Economic Development is currently approved under the Post-9/11 GI Bill for training that includes A+ and Network+ Certification; Certified Nurse Aide (CNA); Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA); and Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). • The TTC Continuing Education Scholarship is a needs-based scholarship. Applications will be accepted from March 1-20, 2016. To be considered for the scholarship, please submit: a) an application; b) income tax return from previous year; and c) an essay describing how this scholarship will be beneficial to the applicant. Educational Opportunity Center
The center provides staff and services to assist adults in obtaining postsecondary education (beyond the high school/GED level).
Services include:

GED Classes
Call 843.323.3800 for a class schedule.Want to earn your GED? Then join us at no cost to you. In collaboration with Charleston County School District Adult Education, the Trident Technical College St. Paul’s Parish Site is offering the GED program for adults ages 22 and older.
There is no cost to participate in this program, and it provides instruction, academic assessments, classroom materials and textbooks. Upon successful completion of the course requirements, eligible candidates will take the state GED test. If you pass, you will be awarded a South Carolina High School Equivalency Diploma. Earning a passing score on the General Education Development (GED) test could allow you to pursue college, earn a promotion, get a new job or prepare you to enlist in the military.
