I can’t believe we have already had Easter! What a glorious Sunday it was. I am always amazed that I can get up that early for Sunrise Service. Over my last 47 years of ministry I have cooked breakfast for many and been blessed for it. Easter worship is always great because we have visitors who need to hear the hope and joy that comes
with Easter and Christ’s resurrection.
Spring has also arrived and with it allergies, beautiful flowers and the opportunity to experience God’s beauty and creation all over again. We have already planned great things for the summer and I’m excited about all the new things that are happening around the church. This summer we plan on having Soccer Bible Club again and Family Potluck and Movie Nights.
This month our own Erik Pieper has written a play called “The Healing of Naaman.” It is based on an Old Testament story of his encounter with the prophet Elijah with a little of a modern twist. It will be a dinner theater and you need to keep your ears open for the rest of the details. It will be April 23rd, so set aside that date for a fun evening.

Thank you to all of you. This church was wonderfully generous in their gift for Hayden and his family. We got to meet him. He is an adorable little boy. His parents are very grateful for the wonderful support from FUMC. This is a picture of the wonderful Easter basket we were able to put together because of all of you. USE OF CHURCH FACILITIES
In regards to the use of the church facilities, there have been a few changes. Any member who wishes to use any part of the church facilities/grounds must fill out Request For Use form. Please, notify a Member of Trustee, Pastor or Office Volunteers and they will assist you. Completely and accurately filling out this form will help prevent issues such as event conflicts, unlocking and locking facilities as well as insuring that your event goes by smoothly, with the assistance of a trustee. For non-members, there is an Application For Use and agreement form that must be filled out which can also be approved by any member of Trustee, Pastor or Office Volunteers. We appreciate your understanding. We hope that this will help make everyone’s experience a memorable one. Any questions and concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

U.M.C MARKET FUNDRAISER
In February we received a check for $23.10 from The U.M.C. Market. This is another way to help your general fund when you make purchases over the internet. Internet shopping in places like Best Buy and many other internet shopping stores. There is an article in The Feather every month about the U.M.C. Market. Go to the web site and find out what stores are listed. If you shop on any of them you could make purchases on the U.M.C. Market and our church budget will benefit from your purchases. This is another way to help our general fund church budget. Thank youJohn S. FowlerChairman Finance Committee

CHURCH SHARE CARDS
GOOD NEWS ON
RALEY'S AND FOOD MAXX SHARE CARDS
This is a new update on how our church share cards are doing as a fundraiser for our church general fund. We receive a check from Food Maxx once every three months. In February we received a check from Food Maxx for $238.92. We receive a check from Raley's every three months as well. In January we received a check from Raley's for $77.59.
If you don't have a Food Maxx share card see Ginger Ewalt or the volunteer in the office at the
church. If you don't have a Raley's Something
Extra Card ask for a card when you are shopping
in Raley's. Raley's does require you to designate
how much you want to come back to your church. You can do this on your own computer.
If you don't have a computer or you are having
trouble doing this ask somebody that has a
computer at the church to help you.
Put the two cards together and we have made $316.51 for our church budget so far this year.
When you pay for your groceries give your card
to the clerk and they will scan your card for you.
What an easy way to help our church budget.
Thank youJohn S. FowlerChairman Finance Committee

You can see what is being read and the songs we are singing. Now we need a new computer to complete the project so that we can hear what is being said during church services. An anonymous donor is willing to donate $1,000.00 for this project but we must raise $1,000.00 as this is a matching fund donation. The project will cost us $2,000.00.
