2016 Club Plan Update T he Club’s Officers and Directors met to iron out plans for the year. Here are some highlights. Are you thinking of bringing a guest or new mem- ber to the February 10 General Meeting? Great idea! There is a special education program be- ing planned especially for new people. Also, special education opportunities are planned throughout the year. Learn about them in your newsletter, The Bullpup! Save the date! We will be having an AKC Sanction B Match, fun match and chili cook-off on Saturday, March 5. Bring your bullies for a special handling class starting at 9:30 AM. Enter your puppies in the matches right after the han- dling class. Entries in the matches are $5 each and can be made on site. Ribbons and glory can be yours! After the matches, fetch chili and snacks with club members and guests. All are invited. Bring a friend. The March PCBC Gen- eral Meeting will be right after the chili cook-off. The May General Meeting will be held at Mission Circuit and feature continental breakfast and a special education module. There will be no club meeting in June, July or August. A new meeting location is being sought closer to Orange County. This location will be used in ad- dition to the existing location in Rancho Cucamonga. Be sure to watch the Event Calendar on page 8 for dates, locations and times of meetings and events. Many changes are afoot. The Board approved the 2014 audit report and its recommendations. Planning has started for PCBC’s CENTURY CELEBRATION! That’s right. PCBC is going to be 100 years old (700 dog years?). Starting in 2017, members requesting that a hardcopy of The Bullpup be mailed to them, will be required to pay for postage and printing costs. Calling all CHAMPIONS! Get a gorgeous PCBC plaque for your new CHAMPION. Fetch the application & details on pages 9-10. If you haven’t already done so, now is the time to renew your PCBC membership. MINUTES of the December 9, 2015, meeting. Motion to approve as written by Lesley DeHaas. Second by Cyndee Pau-
lus. Motion passed.
TREASURER’S REPORT (Cyndee Paulus): Savings balance of $15,001.73. Checking balance of $11,298.84.
CORRESPONDENCE RECEIVED (Cindy Liebeck):
1. AKC: April sweepstakes approval notice received (previously received and forwarded as noted in December). 2. AKC: April events approval notice received and forwarded to Chairs Munt & Johnson. 3. Request for officer update to BCA (completed as was AKC update). 4. Bulldogger: Stud Dog Index being started. $60 per issue for listing. Deadline of 2/1/16 for the next issue. Details
will be in the next Bullpup.
COMMITTEE REPORTS
AKC Delegate (Link Newcomb) - December delegate meeting attended, electronic show media passed. Pre-mium Lists, Judging Programs and Catalogs may now be all electronic. Exhibitors can request written documents. AKC puppy registrations up 1.5% through October. AKC revenues up 5%. There is a Director election in March.
AKC Education (Scott Johnson) - none
Auditing (Link Newcomb) - none Open: approval of the audit committee report of the 2014 books distributed by Link Newcomb at the 10/14 meeting. ACTION: Link to send Cindy electronic to have copies for the Board on Sunday.
BCA Update (Link Newcomb) - BCA Div III meeting held in Indio. Committees filled except legislation. Oc-tober 1-2 are the dates of 3 BCNC shows. One Generic Division III show will be held on Sunday afternoon (October 2). $1800 was raised at “Rubber Ducky” fundraiser. Div III donated $5000 to BCNC to get started.
From Scott Johnson - Changes are being made to the traditional Ventura Summerfest event. BCA Div III specialty will be in conjunction with Ventura County Dog Fanciers and Burbank Kennel Club 6/30-7/3 at the Ventura County Fair-grounds at Seaside Park (where the event normally is but a week earlier). Bulldog City with show ring near the RV park-ing will be available as will the BBQ event. Summerfest name may change. Scott Johnson is working with representa-tives from the all breed clubs to finalize details.

Specialty (Debra Munt) - Debra reported an issue making room reservations for Wednesday night due to another event at the hotel.
Rescue Committee (Debra Munt) - Several dogs placed over the week-end. 42 volunteers are working to help out, but more are needed.
Website (Sherry Webb) - Prizes for contests needed - discuss on Sunday.
October meeting (10/14) action was to update trophy and continue using it.
November meeting (10/31) action was to retire the trophy and transition to plaques. No address of prior open action was made.
Lesley DeHaas moved that the perpetual trophy be replaced by March. Second Cyndee Paulus. After discussion, Lesley DeHaas withdraws her motion. ACTION: Sherian Evans research trophy options and report back to the club.
NEW BUSINESS: 1. Signup for meeting snacks. 2. Board planning meeting 1/17, 1 PM Paulus residence. ACTIONS: Cindy Liebeck prepare agenda., distribute prior
to the meeting. Cindy Liebeck print audit report, and update and print club calendar for Board discussion. 3. Show committee planning meeting, TBD. 4. March event planning: Brenda Newcomb is willing to chair the matches as long as the schedule fits within her ex-
