Sky Jumpers clinics and camps are designed toprovide individual and small group training for alllevels of pole vaulters. Sessions are conducted atour one of a kind training facility in beautifulAtascadero, California.
RegistrationA check for $100 payment should accompanyyour registration form. There is no balance due atcheck-in. Participation in the camp is availableon a first come, first serve basis. Upon receipt ofyour application and deposit, you will be mailed aconfirmation packet with updated instructionsand information regarding the camp. This infor-mation will include: a map, a daily camp sched-ule, camp rules and regulations and other impor-tant information.
LocationAtascadero is located in San Luis Obispo County,on the beautiful central coast of California. It islocated 200 miles south of San Francisco, 200miles north of Los Angles on U.S. Hwy 101. It iseasily accessible by Amtrak, bus, plane, or car.Please notify us if you need ground transporta-tion upon arrival or departure. Coaches Education Coaches who attend will receive a certificate ofattendance. All SJVSC camps are formatted so asto prepare novice coaches and vaulters for thetesting portion of the pole vaulting certification.We strongly suggest that any and all HS, college,or club programs should provide a coach whocan pass this test of minimum competency at thefollowing address http://www.pvscb.com/

Bad Weather Our incredible variety of pole vault related equip-ment is available rain or shine.
Winter and Summer Multi-Day CampsFor over 20 years we have offered winter andsummer multi-day sessions. The residentcampers are housed and fed at the Colony InnBest Western. 24 Hour supervision is provided.
Day Camp ProgramAll day camp sessions will begin at 10am. Theactivities will consist of short and long run polevaulting, drill work, rope vaulting and other gym-nastic activities in a small group format.
EligibilityAll vaulters, both male and female, ages 12 andup.
Check InDay camp participants should arrange theretransportation so that they arrive by 9:30am.Registration materials will be filed at that timeso that we can begin our instruction at 10AMsharp!
Coaches Discount In addition to offering the finest instruction toathletes, Sky Jumpers has educated thousandsof coaches over the past 25 years. Our programis designed to prepare the novice coach, parent,or athlete to pass the National Pole Vault SafetyCertification exam at www.pvscb.com. HS andcollege coaches with active coaching assign-ments who wish to prepare for certification mayregister and observe our Atascadero day campsfor free.
What To BringEach vaulter should bring his\her own poles,athletic tape and extra spending money.Arrangements can be made to borrow SJVSCpoles for no additional charge, but we stronglyrecommend you bring your own, so we can seeyou on your equipment. We have an extensivecollection of over 500 poles: all brands, lengthsand weights. If you are traveling via commercialair carrier we recommend that you do notattempt to bring your own poles. If you are driv-
ing or taking the Amtrak we do recommend thatyou bring your poles.
Skyjumpers PhilosophyWe take great pride in offering a wide variety ofchallenging vault related activities in a park-likesetting. We stress step-by-step skill develop-ment, with a safety first motto. Come preparedto make huge gains in your vaulting, make newfriends, and try new stuff. Camaraderie, selfrespect and good clean fun are all importantaspects of our system. Drugs, tobacco, and alco-hol are not tolerated.
Parental Consent / Participation WaiverI hereby grant permission for my child to attendthe Sky Jumpers Vertical Sports Vaulting Camp.I verify that my child has had a physical exam inthe past year and is capable of participating inthe activities related to the clinic. I agree toindemnify, hold harmless and defend JanJohnson, Sky Jumpers, and/or their agents oremployees from any and all liability for injury tomy child. as well as any injury or damagecaused by my child. Should medical treatmentfor my child be necessary, I hereby authorize anyphysician or trainer selected by camp personnelto order and conduct medical or surgical proce-dures necessary.
