Target AudienceThis course is designed for interventional cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, vascular sur-geons, internists, nurses, cath lab technicians, perfusionists, and those with a special interest in interventional cardiology. No experience in interventional cardiology is required, however a basic understanding of the field is recommended.
Educational ObjectivesAfter attending this activity, participants should be able to:
•Apply new technical approaches to specific lesion subsets such as bifurcation lesions, left main lesions, chronic total occlusions and saphenous vein graft disease
• Integrate the latest guidelines and practice improvements into the management of myocardial function
•Discuss new techniques under development for percutaneous cardiac valve repair and replacement
•Reduce common catheterization laboratory patient complications using new techniques and technologies
•Critique the latest evidence and guidelines supporting new cardiac imaging modalities such as IVUS and FFR guided stent deployment
•Prescribe the appropriate antithrombotic therapies based on the latest data and guidelines
•Evaluate the indications, practical implantation techniques and evidence base for the newly FDA approved bioresorbable scaffolds.
Course OverviewCardiologists are trained during their fellowship years in the latest techniques, technologies, standards of practice and guidelines for patient care. However, the practice of medicine changes rapidly and the discipline of interventional cardiology changes dramatically each year. Changes in interventional cardiology directly impact patient care and require constant updates to physician knowledge and practices. Physicians rely on journal articles, interaction with colleagues and lectures throughout the year to keep their knowledge up-to-date. The primary purpose of the “27th Annual Cardiovascular Interventions” symposium is to provide the practicing physician and cardiovascular care team with a concentrated exposure to new developments in interventional cardiology that will positively influence patient outcomes.
The 2016 scientific program has been carefully designed by consulting recent key clinical trial data, articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals, physician focus groups, past evaluations, and needs assessments. By attending this program, participants will learn the latest advances and debates in interventional cardiology. They will return to their practice environment armed with the latest evidence-based, practical information to improve patient care and outcomes.

A confirmation letter will be emailed to you upon receipt of the conference registration form and payment. If you have not received it within two weeks, please contact Promedica International CME.
Attendee Cancellation Policy
The course tuition is refundable, minus a $100 processing fee, if your cancellation is received in writing no later than October 4, 2016. Cancellations cannot be accepted over the telephone. Refunds will not be available after October 4, 2016.
Guest Attendance Policy
All conference activities (including educational sessions, meal functions, exhibit hall, etc.) are exclusively reserved for conference attendees. Non-registered guests (including children, family members, colleagues, etc.) are not allowed in the conference areas. Badges provided at registration are required for entrance into all functions and will be strictly enforced.
Symposium Materials
All symposium information including the detailed agenda, faculty listing, faculty disclosures, industry support, and course materials will be found on our fully mobile website. Please note that no printed syllabus will be provided for this program.
