Build a Dream was hosted on November 10th 2016 in partnership with
Workforce WindsorEssex, St. Clair College, University of Windsor- Faculty
of Engineering, Women’s Enterprise Skills Training Inc., Collège Boréal,
Greater Essex County District School Board, Conseil scolaire catholique
Providence, and the Windsor Essex Catholic District School Board.
This event featured a daytime symposium for employers and educators,
and an evening event for parents and their high school aged daughters.

The SWAG bag
Each young woman received a fun and educational SWAG bag that featured
materials from the organizing committee and a scavenger hunt style passport.
This passport encouraged young women to visit the booths of participating
employers during the career exploration part of the evening.

The day and evening included:
Over 50 local women attended the evening
event as Mentors to share their career journeys
with young women and their parents.
Each mentor had a mentor profile created for
them that included their place of employment,
career journey and advice for young women
who are looking to make career decisions.
