KEN SCHNEIDERMAN’S DYNAMIC LENS WORK offers beautiful, revealing and intimate glimpses into the lives of people from all walks of life. His photography attempts to create photographic heirlooms - archival documents of couples, family, life and love.

ORIGINALLY FROM ATLANTA, GEORGIA, Ken was an anthropology major at Georgia State University where his formal interest in photography burgeoned. His first public exhibition of work was at the Redlight Cafe Gallery in Atlanta in 1996. In the spring of 2000, after completing his photography degree he took his trusty Nikon and bag of film for a 580 mile trek across Spain documenting the epic pilgrimage route El Camino de Santiago, the ‘Way of Saint James’.

HIS PORTFOLIO OF PORTRAITS AND DOCUMENTARY WORK GAINED HIM ENTRY as a darkroom printer in the Manhattan studio of legendary photographer Arnold Newman. For several years, Ken continued to apprentice as a New York based photography assistant for: Mary Ellen Mark, Albert Watson, Andrew Eccles, Rodney Smith, Frank Ockenfels III, Brigitte Lacombe, Dan Winters and Norman Jean Roy amongst others.

KEN ESTABLISHED A New York studio in 2008 and began shooting commissioned editorial and advertising assignments. That year the Entertainment Industry Foundation and film director David Fincher invited him to photograph a series of celebrity portraits for the award-winning launch of Stand Up To Cancer’s charity campaign. His iconic portrait of the late great American fitness guru Jack Lalanne won recognition in American Photography 25.

A PASSIONATE TRAVELER, Ken has created bodies of work in Mexico, Vietnam, Iceland, New York City and in his own stomping grounds, Atlanta, GA. He was raised to treat 'nobodies like somebodies and somebodies like nobodies'. He considers his dog Louie a 'somebody', and treats him accordingly.

WHEN NOT PHOTOGRAPHING bipedal primates and their earthly environs, Ken likes to practice his acoustic guitar skills and play family chef. He is grateful to have forged a career

doing what he loves. Often at large in the greater world, he currently makes his home in Atlanta, GA with his wife Mai, and daughter Seanna.

KEN’S PHOTOGRAPHS have been published in Vanity Fair, W Magazine, Time, People, Lucky, Marie Claire, Atlanta Magazine, advertising campaigns and annual reports and have also been purchased by private collectors.

GENERAL INFO

High resolution USB drive files include printing and web posting rights for both the wedding and engagement photos. Engagement and wedding photos are delivered on the same drive after the wedding day. All online galleries active for 1 year and then archived. Coverage hours average 50 - 75 edited & color corrected images per hour. Engagement galleries include app. 20 - 30 images. All albums are designed by Ken Schneiderman and handcrafted by Azura Custom Albums. Normal turn around time for custom albums is 6 weeks. All collections include a complimentary pre-wedding consultation.

DESTINATION WEDDINGS

Ken is available for weddings (and sessions!) anywhere in the U.S.A. and worldwide. All collections are also available as destination packages. Quotes are based on travel fees per location (transportation, lodging and food). Travel expenses are kept reasonable and to a minimum, arranged by Ken and billed for reimbursement as required.
