These awards are to encourage and reward our youth for their interest and involvement in local and national agricultural issues, the Royal Bathurst Show and the Show movement generally. WHO CAN ENTER?
Applicants must be: • Permanent Residents of Australia, residing in NSW • Able to spend time at Royal Bathurst Show 8th to 10th April
2016. • Able to demonstrate a desire to become actively involved
in local Shows and become ambassador for Shows HOW TO ENTER:
• Submit detailed Resume with the entry form attached (focusing on your rural and community achievements)
• Include a covering letter as to why you would like to be a Young Rural Achiever
• Include a recent photograph • List 2 or 3 Referees (or References) who can be contacted
(one only from educational institution) • Include Recommendations and Testimonials from
educational institutions, employers, colleagues, community groups etc.
JUDGING CRITERIA WILL INCLUDE:
• Personal presentation and promptness • Written entry and Resume • Interview including verbal skills • Interests in community projects, shows, agricultural
interests • Knowledge of both local and general rural issues • Background in rural or country town interests AWARDS WILL BE:
Each qualifying entrant will receive:
• A Royal Bathurst Show Certificate of Achievement presented by the Bathurst AH&P Association.
1st in each class will receive $50, 2nd $30 and 3rd $20 sponsored by McIntosh McPhillamy & Co. Solicitors. • Overall winner will become ROYAL BATHURST SHOW

2016 and will be a Show Ambassador for 12 months, assisting with the Award programme at 2017 Show.
RESPONSIBILITY AT THE SHOW:
Each qualifying entrant will be required to Steward at the Show. • NB: This will not preclude in any way entrants exhibiting at the Show or assisting with exhibition. In this case prior approval is required and entrants must show evidence of that participation throughout the Show

LITERATURE - SHORT STORIES
Entrants will be judged on articles submitted prior to the Show. 500 to 1000 words.
FICTION: work capturing imaginary, theoretical and creative themes and concepts relating agricultural, horticultural, pastoral and primary industries.
NON-FICTION: work based on fact, demonstrating knowledge of industry related concepts in agriculture, horticultural, pastoral and associated production industries. WHO CAN ENTER?

S506: PRIMARY SCHOOL AGE ENTRIES CLOSE: 5:00 pm Friday 26th February 2016 HEAD STEWARD: Paula Elbourne All enquiries to Show Office: 6331 3175 Entries may be submitted by both individuals or as a group (e.g. a class). Students may submit a project as their own entry or participate in a group project. ENTRANTS PLEASE NOTE:
• These sections are open to all primary school aged individuals and groups in the Bathurst Region who have a learning project underway whether through school or not with relevance to themes of Agriculture, Horticulture or Pastoral endeavor.
• Entrants are invited to present information about a special project (for example the creation of a large basket of "autumn" produce harvested from the school vegetable garden by the students), relevant to the Agricultural Horticultural and Pastoral theme.
• If submitted as groups two student representatives are to be appointed by each school who will write a one page report on their school's project and submit the report and several photographs.
• If submitted as an individual project, there will be a single page report on the project written and submitted by the entrant, and a presentation given to the judges.
• All projects submitted will be displayed in a pavilion at the Bathurst Show with similar projects, with ribbons and certificates for the best overall exhibit in this section awarded, as well as other prizes and certificates determined by the judges.
JUDGING CRITERIA WILL INCLUDE:
• Presentation and promptness of the representatives who report on the project to the judges.
• Written Project Report. • Relevance and innovation shown in the project. • Inclusion of theme of agricultural, horticultural and
pastoral development
AWARDS WILL BE:
