tens of millions of dollars in economic development projects. This is always a

popular luncheon, so make reservations early!

In my opinion, the television show Parks and Recreation (aka Parks and

Rec) is one of the most entertaining and well-written shows in the past

decade. Amy Poehler as Leslie Knope has truly become beloved in our

household but when faced with writing this month’s newsletter, the first

two characters I thought of were Tom and Donna and their annual out-

landish shopping trip day which they called “Treat Yo’ Self.” I believe this

same moniker applies when one is considering tickets for the Taste of

Lakewood. YOU should Treat Yo’ Self to VIP! Imagine a beautiful tent

which will shade you from the bright sun or shield you from rain drops

(however, Mother Nature owes us one after last year so it should NOT

rain!), tables to eat the delicious fare provided by our dozens of vendors, chairs at which you can sit and visit

with your tablemates and friends and…best of all, runners who will go and stand in line and get your food for

you! Contact the Chamber office today to get YOUR VIP tickets for the Taste of Lakewood on Sunday, June 11th!

It’s time to treat yo’ self! See you there!

Purchase VIP tickets here: http://tasteoflakewood.com/vip-tickets

This is always a popular topic – register today!

April 2017

Dear Lakewood Business Community:

Lakewood is our hometown; together we are proud of this vibrant and viable community. It gives us great

pleasure to share with all of you that the Lakewood Magazine is once again scheduled for production in 2017.

The Lakewood Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with the City of Lakewood is working with Great

Lakes Publishing (publishers of Cleveland Magazine, Community Leader, Ohio Magazine and Lake Erie

Living) to produce the twelfth magazine for our community. This publication will be printed in a high quality,

glossy, four-color format and will feature articles about our community and a comprehensive community

resource directory with facts, important business listings and a complete restaurant guide.

A copy of the Lakewood Magazine will be delivered to every residential household and business address in

the city. Copies will also be made available to local real estate offices, hotels and motels, as well as doctor

and dentist waiting rooms, new residents, retail counter tops and more. In addition, the magazine will be

online at onelakewood.com, lakewoodchamber.org and with a hyperlink to advertiser’s website. Finally, the

Lakewood Magazine will be distributed with the September 2017 issue of Cleveland Magazine.

A high quality publication like the Lakewood Magazine, highlighting the premier features of Lakewood, is

possible through your active support and inclusion in the pages of this project. We hope you will see the

benefits of being identified in this special publication with your company’s advertisement or announcement.

Please review the information on the following page, and if interested, representatives from Great Lakes

Publishing will meet with you to discuss this business opportunity. All members of the Lakewood Chamber of

Commerce will receive a 15% discount on their ad.
