The Office of Student Affairs at California Health Sciences University, College of Pharmacy is hosting a series of student development programs during the 2017-2018 academic year. These programs are designed to enhance the leadership and professional skills of our future pharmacists.

Sponsors support transformational outcomes through integrated learning.

Exclusive and Co-Sponsorship recognition includes:• Recognition during the event(s).

2017-18 Student Welcome Lunch: $5,000Welcome all CHSU Pharmacy students and faculty on their first week back to school. August 21, 2017.

New Student Orientation Sponsor: $5,000 Welcome the CHSU class of 2021. Five days of Orientation with first year students, faculty, staff and returning student leaders. August 14-18, 2017.

This opportunity allows you to connect with students at an exciting and pivotal time in their educational careers. During Orientation, leaders, faculty, staff, and current students welcome new students into the CHSU Pharmily!

To ensure a successful start in their professional school careers, new students learn about student resources, campus policies, and expectations. Students also engage in several leadership activities so they can begin the semester as prepared as possible. Some of these preparatory activites and topics include:

Class of 2021 White Coat CeremonyCalifornia Health Sciences University Class of 2021 White Coat Ceremony is on Saturday, September 30, 2017. This important tradition, where first year pharmacy students are presented a white lab coat and are officially welcomed as colleagues dedicated to patient care, will be held in the presence of our students’ family and friends with a reception at CHSU immediately following.

Career Enrichment Workshop Series (CEWS): $2,500This transformative series of workshops is designed to engage CHSU students in formulating career plans, post-graduation objectives, and appropriate lifelong career decision-making strategies. Students will gain valuable insight and confidence building skills such as resume writing, cover letter development and interviewing. August-November, 2017 and January, February, and April, 2018.

Professional Development Conference: $2,000Empowering students to take a break from academics to focus on professional development, this day-long conference offers specialized tracks for students in each year of the pharmacy program. From early professional development, residency/fellowship training, entrepreneurship and specialty pharmacy, to CV review and mock interviews. CHSU students are certain to emerge ready for their next step in their careers. Includes a special focus for all students on etiquette for lunch or dinner interviews. October 2017.

Career Day at CHSU: $1,500 Employers in multiple specialties of pharmacy and health care are invited to connect with students and faculty. During a networking lunch and company exhibition, CHSU students are introduced to local internship and employment opportunities. March 2018.

Ambassador Program: $2,000The CHSU Ambassador Program is a service-leadership program for talented students who promote CHSU and the field of pharmacy in high schools, at colleges and within the community. CHSU Ambassadors exemplify stewardship, leadership and professionalism. Exclusive sponsors can have their logo on the Ambassador Polo worn at special events. Sponsorship supports training and development needs for the program.

Student Leadership Summit: $1,500The CHSU Student Leadership Summit is a one-day program where students learn how to be effective, ethical, and innovative leaders. Students will emerge from the Summit with the skills and knowledge to excel as student leaders.

Academic and Leadership Recognition: $500Celebrated by the CHSU Pharmily, exemplary students, faculty, and staff are recognized for their contributions to the University and the field of pharmacy. April 2018.
