Maria’s Corner
Hello Everyone,
As summer turns to fall, it always
amazes me how fast time flies. I was
talking to one of our patients who turns
ninety-nine this November and she
shared that the older you become the
faster time goes by. When I asked her
how old she feels she said fifteen!!!
She shared a few of her tips to help us to
make the most of our precious time.
◦Live your life in gratitude.
◦Take note of all the beauty around you.
◦Take time to smell the roses.
◦Never leave your house without your
lipstick.
◦Treat everyone who crosses your path
with kindness.
◦Live in the moment!!
Wishing everyone love and peace.

almost all the daylight hours in the open air."

Eyre Square (John F. Kennedy Memorial Park) is a park
located within the city center, adjoining the nearby
shopping area of William Street and Shop Street. The
plot of land that became Eyre Square was officially
presented to the city in 1710 by Mayor Edward Eyre,
from where it took its name. In 1965, the square was
officially renamed “John F. Kennedy Memorial Park” in
honor of the US President; despite the renaming, the
square is still widely known as Eyre Square. Kennedy
had visited Galway city and made a speech in the
square on June 29, 1963. He was the first president to
do so during his term in office.

INSTRUCTIONS:
• Pour the cinnamon and oats into boiling
water and stir until it begins to thicken
• Lower the heat until it begins to simmer and
cook for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
It is important not to overcook the oats so
that you get a nice nutty flavor.
• Add the remaining ingredients and enjoy!
My name is Julia Grzegorczyk. I have been a Celtic Angel for 2 years. I love my job helping
others, but for the past couple years I felt like I needed to do something more. During this
time my friend shared with me her first experience with Reiki when she was struggling with
depression. It's opened her eyes to the mystery healing of energy. I wanted my own
experience so attended classes with Bobbie B Wells, Reiki Master at The Center at
Westwoods. After the attunement process my Reiki Master worked over me -- I felt this
warmth rush through me. I completed the first and second degree of the Usui System of Reiki
Healing and I learned that Reiki is a simple, natural and safe
method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that
everyone can use. It is the ancient eastern art of balancing
the human energy system through gentle touch and
intention. Reiki addresses the whole person, encouraging
the release of all tension, stress, panic-attacks, negative-
thinking and anxiety. It effectively restores emotional balance.
Reiki can be used at any time, any place, instantly available
because all you need is hands. Reiki has changed my life.
And I hope if you're inspired by this, you'll consider letting
Reiki change your life too. For more information or to

My name is John Canavan. I was born in County
Donegal, Ireland. I came to the United States in my
early 20’s where I served in the US army for 2 years.
After the army I held multiple jobs before becoming a
bus driver for the MBTA. I’m now retired, living at
home with the help of my 3 children and my Celtic
Angel. I enjoy listening to music, singing, joking
around, trips to castle island and a tall glass of Pinot
Grigio.
