St Tammany We are renovating a raised house in the Abita Springs Historic District into a five-room guesthouse. The house has sat vacant for more than a decade. Several renovation attempts have left the building gutted and in disrepair. Despite this, beautiful cedar, cypress, and heart pine wood remains in the siding, framing, flooring, and porch. All historic wood in good condition will be restored. The foundation rests on high ground, so we will be pouring a new slab and building out the ground floor, which is currently open to the elements. Steven B. Jones Orleans We purchased this property in March of 2015 and received a construction loan through December of 2015 to renovated, restore and improve the property. The house was originally built in the late 1920s or early 1930s and preserves most (if not all) of its historic character. This is evidenced by the fact that we have qualified for Historic Tax Credits through the State Historic Preservation office. The project can really be broken up into two phases.
