Bring your sense of adventure, creativity, and fun. Professional artists work with you to form an ensemble that will explore theatrical performance technique, process, and staging at a professional level. You will learn various traditions of impro- visation and theater from slapstick comedy to monologue and scene work. You will be challenged to master your improvisational and acting pieces to be performed for your peers at the ArtsFest Showcase—the grand finale of JCC Maccabi ArtsFest. Get into the kitchen with professional chefs! Be engaged in every aspect of running a kitchen and preparing great food. Be engaged in every aspect of running a kitchen and preparing great food. Plan a menu and enhance your skills of transforming raw ingredients into delicious dishes. Your culinary creations will be served and devoured at the Final ArtsFest Showcase. Immerse yourself in the excitement and inspiration of creating an expressive performance piece. Strengthen your range and physicality. Rehearse choreography with a professional choreographer, focusing on strengthening your skills and deepening your technique, expression, artistry, and energy. Perform in the grand finale at ArtsFest! Master a variety of the best musical theater pieces ever created. Working with professionals with Broadway experience, form an ensemble and choreograph routines for the final performance during the grand finale at ArtsFest. Develop vocal technique, dance movement skills, and song interpretation. In the Rock Band Specialty, under the guidance of a professional musician: form bands, learn what makes a band successful, experience the art of songwriting, performance techniques, and the changing world of music. In the Jazz Ensemble World Music specialty, in a supportive environment: explore world music and a multitude of jazz music genres and establish a strong sense of rhythm as we bridge cultures and musical traditions as ensemble. Finish off your week by performing live at the ArtsFest Showcase for your peers in JCC Maccabi Games & ArtsFest - the grand finale of Maccabi Report on the JCC Maccabi Games and ArtsFest in Miami. Interview teens and coaches from around the world, have your byline on articles across the Internet and on screen. You will share the stories of Maccabi 2017 via blogs, twitter, newsletters, photography and video production published and distributed to thousands of athletes, artists, coaches and fans at the event and online. Design a series of projects for your portfolio while you express your inner voice with professional artists. Collaborate and explore new mediums with your fellow artists using a variety of art mate- rials to create original artworks that will be prominently displayed throughout the week and in an exhibit for the Final ArtsFest Showcase. Be a part of the growing field of public art. Imagine yourself performing a song and bringing your dreams to life. Led by professional artists, enhance your onstage performance skills as a soloist and as part of an ensemble or choir. Hone your pitch, harmonization and vocalization as well as performance techniques. Perform a variety of songs as part of the grand finale at ArtsFest!
