PATENTED FACIAL CAVITY SEALS

Fine dust and pollen, as well as wind, can cause long-term eye irritation, such as Dry

Eye Syndrome. Peripheral light can also diminish optical clarity. Wiley X patented

removable soft foam FACIAL CAVITY™ SEALS block out even the finest irritants and

peripheral light, protecting the eyes and allowing polarized lenses to perform at

peak levels.

ANSI HIGH VELOCITY IMPACT/VO BALLISTIC TESTS Frames and lenses must withstand the impact of a .25 inch diameter steel ball

fired at 150 fps (ANSI) or .15 projectiles fired at 640-660 fps (spectacle VO Ballistic).

Goggles must withstand .22 projectiles fired at a rate of 550-560 fps. This ensures

our lenses and frames are

practically indestructible.

ANSI / BALLISTIC

ANSI HIGH MASS IMPACT TEST Wiley X ANSI tested frames and lenses must withstand

the weight of a 1.1 lb. pointed projectile dropped from a

height of 50". That pretty much ensures they’ll stand

up to any tough conditions you may encounter.

EXPANDED RX RIM SYSTEM The Wiley X Rx Rim System makes eye protection available for prescriptions up to +5.00

and -7.00. Now more people than ever can experience the ANSI safety rated protection

and sleek style of Rx-ready sun-glasses that are equipped for anything at anytime.

Available in select Climate Control Series styles.

RX OPTIONS Almost all Wiley X frames can be fit ted with prescription lenses. The Wiley X Rx

program enables simple ordering, expert lens processing and timely delivery of

corrective lenses designed especially for our 8-base wrap frames.

WX DIGIFORCE LENSES DIGIFORCE™ digital Rx lenses have been specially designed for Wiley X’s high wrap

frames. Point by point digital lens mapping delivers enhanced visual clarity and color

contrast. DIGIFORCE™ ensures a wider field of vision and more significant reading

zone for high curve frames. This Wiley X design can be optimized or customized to

the wearer’s prescription and face form.

Acting as a visual filter, polarized lenses block blinding glare and can improve

visual contrast.

PHOTOCHROMIC LENSES

Lenses transition from light to dark color in accordance to UV exposure and

temperature. Also available in variable polarized options.

TINTED LENSES

Performance tints for any activity. Carefully calculated light transmissions and densities

are available in a wide array of colors to suit wearer’s personal/lifestyle needs.

MIRROR

Durable and scratch resistant, Wiley X mirrors feature a double sided dipped and

thermally cured hardcoat, with premium AR coating included.

ANTI-REFLECTIVE

Wiley X premium AR coating provides an oleophobic, hydrophobic and anti-static

layer, providing crisper vision and backside UV protection.

WX BLUE ANTI-REFLECTIVE

WX BLUE is a premium “Blue Blocking” AR specially designed to filter out the harmful blue

light produced by PC’s and handheld digital devices. WX BLUE AR offers superior scratch

resistance and features an oleophobic layer that repels water, smudges and fingerprints.

SUPER HARD SCRATCH COATING

Super tough thermally cured hardcoat, highly durable and protective.

High Velocity and High Mass Protection specific to Wiley X Eyewear

TECHNICAL INFORMATION:

• Wrap lenses pose special challenges to lens designers. Compared to typical flatter

Rx lenses, they have a significant curvature that causes incident light rays to create

more aberrations. With the accuracy of digital surfacing technology it is now possible

to minimize the peripheral distortion. Wrap compensations take the refracted Rx

and adjust it for the position of the frame on the face with the consideration of wrap

angle, frame tilt, and vertex distance to achieve superior quality vision.

• Digital lens technology allows us to completely customize each prescription

to the wearer’s lifestyle and frame fit resulting in Rx accuracy 10X better than

conventionally surfaced lenses.

• Combining these features with a variety of designs and the most advanced edging

techniques makes Wiley X Personalized DIGIFORCE Lenses the most advanced

offering in the industry.

• All digital Rx orders will receive a “Compensated Rx”.

Filter 8™ polarized film layer that creates 100% polarization with 100% UV protection.

SEL TECHNOLOGY LENSES Our SEL (Smart Edge Lens) technology lenses are de-centered and tapered to ensure

they can meet ANSI optical clarity standards. They also block 100% of the sun’s

harmful UVA and UVB rays.

Glare off the water and other light colored surfaces can diminish vision at cr it ical moments and cause eye fatigue.

PRISMATIC POWER

It is common for ordinary lenses to bend light, causing focal objects to appear off center. Wiley X ANSI safety rated lenses provide a true spatial relationship of objects in the field of view.

REFRACTIVE POWER

Inferior lenses can alter the true size of objects, as if looking through another person’s prescription lens. Wiley X ANSI safety rated lenses maintain true relative object size.

LA™ LIGHT ADJUSTING SMOKE GREY LENSES Darken as the brightness of the sun dictates. Maximize optical clarity. Light transmission: 85% to 17% (in sunlight).

SMOKE GREEN LENSES* Maximum glare reduction without distorting colors. Great for general daytime use. Light transmission: 13% Polarized.

BRONZE LENSES* For superior visual definition. Increase contrast, enhance ground level contours in most light conditions. Light transmission: 14%-20%, 12% Bronze Flash (Crimson Brown), 14% Silver Flash (Bronze), 18% Polarized Bronze.

AMBER LENSES* Greatly reduces High Energy Visible light and haze, improves contrast and depth perception. Ideal for fishing, golf, tennis. Light transmission: 14% Polarized.

LIGHT RUST LENSES Filters out most blue light waves, the chief component of glare and haze. Enhance contrast in medium to low-light conditions. Light transmission: 60%.

PALE YELLOW LENSES Best light enhancing lens tint. Enhance contrast in low to extremely low-light conditions, haze, etc. Light transmission: 86%.

POLARIZED YELLOW LENSES* Greatest clarity in low-light situations; blocks blinding glare while preserving sharpness. Ideal for first and last light, fishing, hunting, shooting etc. Light transmission: 30% Polarized.

VENICE GOLD MIRROR (AMBER) LENSES* Great for sunny conditions; polarized version is ideal for fishing in shallow water and target shooting. Light transmission: 12% polarized.

SILVER FLASH (SMOKE GREY) LENSES* One of the darker lenses Wiley X offers. Multi-coat, Z-Oxide mirror over smoke lenses. Reduces glare. Excellent on bright days. Light transmission: 12%, 13% Polarized.

BLUE MIRROR (GREEN) LENSES* Multi-coat, green lenses. Absorb reflections across mirror surface, diminish glare. Ideal in bright conditions. Light transmission: 12% Polarized.

EMERALD MIRROR (AMBER) LENSES* An amber tinted lens under an emerald green multi-coat mirror surface that’s specially designed to amplify color contrast and deliver high visual definition. Distinct colors and crisp acuity in all light conditions for superior vision performance. Light transmission: 14-16% Polarized.

PLATINUM FLASH (GREEN) LENSES* Multi-coat Z-Oxide mirror over smoke green lenses provides maximum glare reduction without distorting colors. Great for general daytime use. Light transmission: 13% Polarized.

CRIMSON MIRROR (GREY) LENSES* Excellent for constant sun or very bright conditions. Ideal mirror for snowboarding, skiing, driving on sunny days or other extreme conditions. Reduces glare and improves contrast. Light transmission: 15% Polarized.

ASTM F803 STANDARDOur Youth Force™ Sports Protective Eyewear meets the stringent ASTM F803 standard. To pass the High Velocity Impact Resistance test, the eyewear must withstand projectiles sized from 40 mm to 65.1 mm fired at a rate of 90 mph.

The F803 standard tests the strength of the frame and the strength and clarity of the lenses. Youth Force™ styles are tested to the plano and prescription eyewear classification.

Youth Force™ styles pass ASTM F803 testing for Soccer, Basketball, Racquetball, Squash, Badminton, Paddle Ball, Tennis and Handball.
