  • MassEcon champions Massachusetts as the best place to start, grow, or locate a business. Bringing the public and private sectors, together, we work to create a supportive culrture for business, enahnce job growth, promote invest-ment in communities, and spread prosperity throughout the state.

Site LocationMassEcon’s statewide Site Finder Service - including The ReadyMass 100 - is an economic development resource for companies seeking to expand or locate within Massachusetts. MassEcon staff works cooper-atively with real estate brokers, site location consul-tants, and state, regional, and local economic develop-ment officials to enable companies to access property information that supports their real estate and loca-tion needs.

Research & InformationMassEcon provides expanding and relocating compa-nies with information about demographics, workforce, education, infrastructure, industry sectors, and other matters relevant to the location decision. In compar-ing Massachusetts to other states, MassEcon ensures that the full value proposition for a Massachusetts location is evident. Providing more than data, this service links companies with people and resources on the state, regional, and local levels.

Programs & EducationEvents increase the economic development knowledge of its staff, members, public officials, and the business community at large. The Annual Conference focuses on Massachusetts as a competitive business location. Roundtables bring together MassEcon members, professionals, and industry executives to share knowl-edge and expertise around key sectors and topics, such as biotechnology, defense and international business, among others. MassEcon also hosts the state’s only an-nual awards event that recognizes companies that have contributed to the Commonwealth’s economic vitality.

Massachusetts AmbassadorsMassEcon oversees the Massachusetts Ambassadors program, a network of senior executives throughout the Commonwealth who serve as peer contacts for companies evaluating the state as an expansion loca-tion. Ambassadors can volunteer their time by hosting visiting executives, providing media testimonials on Massachusetts as a place to live and work, sponsoring welcome receptions for companies new to Massachu-setts, and other activities.

MassEcon FoundationThe Massachusetts Economic Development Foundation is MassEcon’s 501(c)3 affiliate. The Foundation hosts MassEcon’s Annual Conference each year, other educational forums, The ReadyMass 100 initiative, and is the corporate home for Massachusetts It’s All Here brand that markets Massachusetts as a great place to live, work, play, and study.
